Brooks brothers Non-Iron Shirt• First wash-and-wear dress shirt: the Brooksweave, in 1953• Oldest men's clothier chain in the United States• Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in his Brooks Brothers coat• Earlier the shirts were made up of polyester, today the non iron
shirt is 100% cotton
Tupperware • Follows direct sales strategy• Tupperware products are known for their durability• Guaranteed by the Company against cracking, warping,
peeling and chipping under normal domestic use• The company has done well developing products for specific
local markets, including kimchi containers in Korea, kimono keepers in Japan, and masala containers in India.
Apple MacBook• Introduced with promise to put creative power of technology

New Products
BrightFeet Slippers• The idea came from an experienced inventor, Doug Vick, who
after getting up in the middle of the night, bumped into the bedpost while making his way back to the bed
• Contain LEDs, both pressure and light sensitive, to provide light during night
Super Glue
• Originally discovered in 1942 by Dr. Harry Coover when he was attempting to make clear plastic gun sights to be put on guns used by Allied soldiers
• Formulation he came up with didn’t work well for gun sights, but worked fantastically as an extremely quick bonding adhesive
• Story behind the logo: The test was to hold a hanging car from a crane and the Super Glue Corporation product was the best
DuPont Non Stick Cookware • Roy J. Plunkett invented one of the best known and most
widely used polymers, Teflon®• In the early 1960s, Teflon® found its most famous use, as a
nonstick surface for cookware• Plunkett was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame
for his invention of Teflon® in 1985
Enable Talk Gloves• Enable Talk is a student project• Main idea is to translate sign language into speech• Idea for the project came from interacting with hearing-
impaired athletes at a school• Won first prize at Microsoft Imagine Cup competition in 2012 • Current prototype has been introduced in the market at high
cost but with economy of scale, the price is expected to decrease
Play-Doh • "plastic modelling composition of a soft, playable working
consistency' that eventually became Play-Doh• Originally designed as a wallpaper cleaner• Its similarity to regular modelling clay without the toxicity or
mess made Play-Doh a great toy• Joe McVicker became millionaire before his 27th birthday after
re-releasing the product as a toy
