Cardinals' Club gifts are crucial to the development of Fisher
students from varsity athletes to fitness room regulars.
The Men's Lacrosse program was able to purchase 50 new
helmets which cost $145 each.
The Football program was able to fund a part-time assistant
football coach using donations from alumni, parents and other
supporters.
The Men's Basketball team continues raising money for a trip to
Europe in the summer of 2012. Thanks to donations, this will
be their third trip.
Additional weight room equipment was purchased by the
Football program for all students to use in the Student Life
Center weight room. The equipment cost totaled $2,291.

CHALLENGEIncrease alumni participation and donation commitment for the annual St. John Fisher College athletic appeal campaign.
St. John Fisher College is an independent, liberal arts institution in the Catholic tradition of American higher education. The College emphasizes liberal learning for students in traditional academic disciplines, as well as for those in more directly career-oriented fields. The College welcomes qualified students, faculty, and staff regardless of religious or cultural background.
The campus is situated on 154 park-like acres, a beautiful setting for 24 modern buildings and a warm, friendly campus community. The College offers 31 academic majors in the humanities, social sciences, sciences, business, and nursing, as well as nine preprofessional programs.
Fisher also offers 11 Graduate programs and 3 Doctoral programs.
Lisa, are you a Cardinals' Club Member?A Fantastic Fall: Football, Men's Soccer and Men's Golf all won ECAC championships! The baseball team won a college-record 31 games and claimed the program's first
Empire 8 title. The Cardinals placed second in the New York Regional of the NCAA
Division III Championships, losing 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth inning to the eventual
national runner-up in the title game.Men's Basketball advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA Division III
Championship, marking the 19th consecutive trip to the postseason.Men's Lacrosse set a new record for wins for the sixth straight season
(2005: 6-7; 2006: 9-8; 2007: 10-7; 2008: 11-5; 2009: 15-3; 2010: 16-2) and
claimed as high as No. 10 in the national coaches poll. The Polisseni Foundation donated $3 million to be used for the creation of the
Polisseni Track and Field Complex at the College, adding seven more intercollegiate
athletic programs by the fall of 2011. This will increase NCAA Division III sports from
14 to 21 at Fisher.
Last year, St. John Fisher College had over 450 students participating in NCAA sports with an average GPA of 3.1. Of these students, 96 made the Empire 8's President's list during one or both semesters, an honor for which the student must have a 3.75 GPA or higher. When we look back at the year, we frequently notice that our athletes' GPAs are higher during the semesters when they are participating in a sport than when they are off-season. We attribute this to the discipline and positive influences of their coaches and teammates.
Your generous support of the Cardinals' Club ensures that we are able to continue providing high quality athletic programs for these students and fitness facilities that enhance the educational experience of all our Fisher students.Thank you for your past support. Please join the 2010-2011 Cardinal's Club today!

Overall creative and design work for this campaign was a collaborative effort between the college and the MSP Digital Solutions creative team.
The resulting mail piece combined imagery of SJF athletics, recent achievements of SJF teams, the specific benefits contributions would make to SJF athletics from this campaign, and a personalized message - all in a short, upbeat, easy to read and respond to package. Recommended giving levels
and team designations were variable based on recipients’ giving histories and affiliation.
To keep the mailer cost effective MSP Digital designed a 5” x 7” colorful 3-panel self mailer with a perforated reply panel and return envelope. Recipients were also encouraged to donate on-line if preferred.
MSP also provided all postal presorting, NCOA, and DPV requirements to achieve the lowest USPS rates possible for the mailing.
“It was a pleasure working with MSP. We were impressed with their creative capabilities and grateful for their flexibility in making design changes and maximizing variable printing capabilities. I have been thrilled with the results of this mailing!”
