HOVER_CLOUDThe proposal is an addition to the existing CAMH it is a mass floating above the existing building—preserving transparent public space in between. The three spaces are 1.upper, toplit galleries, 2.Middle sidelit public spaces, and 3.Lower minimally lit dark galleries, and theatres. CLOUDS, CIVIC SPACES, and CAVES. All connected by a circulation loop, an art freight elevator is the connection to the CAMH which brings people to the “Clouds” where users travel to toplit galleries the same way art does treating people as art via transition and display as they go up, the opposite side brings you down to the “caves” through open stairs. “Clouds” shade the civic spaces which hosts a public streetside gallery for landscape art. “Civic spaces” are habitable landscaped slopes which cover the “Caves”. The concept attracts people by offering protection under the cloud which inspires curiosity towards the transparent new entrance of the CAMH.

ARTIFICIAL_TOPOGRAPHIES
As a result of the research in the border area of Las Cruces, El Paso, Ciudad Juarez, it was found that this ecological region is part of the Chihuahuan Desert, and cannot be conceived as different territories. It must be considered as a whole. For these reasons, the proposal for this area tries to integrate the territory through artificial topographies that will pacify the region through the improvement of sport activities and will turn the Maquiladora Industry into a new green concept and as a part of these topographies with Auxilary programs like gyms and daycare centers to imporve the quality of life of the city. Ciudad Juarez becomes and equal to El Paso by improving the economy and tourism between the two cities.

Master Plan
C.D. Juarez_REC Center The Masterplan Proposal narrowed down to two buildings one being the Maquiladora Green serving the economy of Ciudad Juarez and the second building type is a Recreation Center to serve the community surrounding the Maquiladoras. Research showed that the highest percentage of maquiladora workforce was women and or teenagers starting at age 16. Hence the C.D. Juarez Rec Center was proposed to offer a place of recreation to serve these users. The Rec Center accomodates a shaded bus stop and access to the masterplan proposed trails that link the new artficial topographies. Its main focus was to open up the building to the public by creating a sunken plaza as part of the entry sequence.
NOBEL_JUVEL
Nobel Juvel focuses on surrounding the urban environment and large scale city scape connecton to land and waterfrom areas. It recreates the sense of discovery of Gamla Stan where the current Nobel museum is situated. As a symbol fo the Nobel Prize it has five cut out jewels each representing a prize, four of therm are extruded while the center plaza represents the peace prize by carving out a plaza as the hearth of the jewels. The Nobel Center’s mission promotes creativity and new thinking, there by contributing to finding solutions to the major challenges of our time and our future. The building is connected by a ramp that brings in the public to the 4 different jewels surpassing the private sectors of the building. The buildings program museum, library, auditorium, offices, and conference center.
Nobel Foundation Museum
The materiality of the project has an ephemeral quality , controlled by the idea of making many small gridded extrusions with interior cuts that create a large thermal mass. The building uses several passive strategies which create energy offsets with solar panels and a bionergy plant.
Final Drawings
A Master Plan proposal where multiple scales of Healthcare are combined integrating different uses and public spaces to break its current barriers , accessibility (time and money) , and psychological while serving the influx of people. We believe that innovation arises from challenges, this is why the main aspect of this proposal is a catalog in response to the new array of needs that healthcare now has to provide and embody. This response is at an urban scale that provides social interventions to the community, it invites public participation in the scattered program of the context that welcomes the public in to the new park like atmosphere of the medical facilities.
