LawInternships is organizing an Online
National Judgment Competition, 2020 in
association with All India Law Students
Federation for the overall development and
enhancement of legal writing knowledge of
law postulants. Judgment writing also
provides a holistic approach towards
understanding, thinking and decision making
skills of a law student. Writing a judgment
encompasses a detailed process of
understanding and reasoning the factual
matrix of the case, applying appropriate law,
and knowledge of Court room practices,
ability to make a fair decision and finally
deliver it in a reasonable manner- “De jure”
ABOUT LAWINTERNSHIPSLawInternships is an organization that provides
internship opportunities in the field of law
primarily to the students pursuing undergraduate
or postgraduate programs. We assist in providing
opportunities for gaining professional experience
as well as improving legal skills while being
enrolled in a full-time law program. The objective
is to prepare students for the real world by
imparting practical exposure and relevant skills
through legal internships.

ELIGIBILTY CRITERIA
The Participant(s) should currently be pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree in law being
enrolled either in 3 year LLB course or 5 year integrated LLB course from any recognized
University/College.
A team must necessarily only comprise of two participants.
Note: Two participants from different university can also apply as a team. (Cross-
university teams)

SUBMISSION FORMAT
The language of the submission should necessarily be restricted to English.
Word limit- 1500-2500 (including footnotes)
Format- The submissions should be made in MS Word/ .doc/ .docx and PDF
format. Both formats must be attached. The submissions must be in Times
New Roman, Size 12 with 1.5 Line Spacing.
Page Number- Bottom Right
Team Code should be necessarily mentioned in every page.
Citation methodology to be followed in Bluebook 19th or 20th Edition.
DECISION
Decision of the Organizing Committee shall be binding in interpretation of any
rule or for any query or otherwise.

The participants are required to complete the “Provisional Registration” through
this Google Form link annexed below which shall be done on or before September
5th, 2020, 11:59 PM IST.

The “Final Registration” shall be considered to be completed only after the
participants make the payment of the registration fees which shall be done on or
before September 7th, 2020, 11:59 PM IST.
Mode of Payment
Note: Account Details and Judgment Writing Competition Composition/ Problem will
be released to participants individually via e-mail, only after the provisional registration
process is completed.
Fees shall be paid online.
Payment details shall be sent to the participants along
with the confirmation e-mail of provisional registration.
PENALTIES
Non-Submission of Judgment
Upon disclosure of the identity of the participant (name and college name) in the
any manner whatsoever.
Submission of Judgments not complying with the above-mentioned rules shall
attract a penalty of two marks.
Submission of Judgment (Soft Copy) after the date of submission shall attract the
penalty of ten marks per day.
Participants must be very careful about their contents. We will entertain original
works only. Maximum limit to which plagiarism would be entertained is 10%
(excluding citations), if the same is found beyond this limit it would attract negative
marking.
Notwithstanding, any other rule, following are the penalties which could be levied on
participants on grounds of proven misconduct in any manner, whatsoever:
