The 'Corex' range of flexible busbar is available in ratings from 100 - 1800 Amps. This versatile conductor comprises a number of copper strips covered in a continuous layer of extruded black vinyl, the size and number of laminations being dependent on the current rating.

EARTH BRAIDS

Ter-mate have had a selection of cable connections tested in various lengths and sizes, all suitable for connecting to a busbar system rated at 50kA. The selection of cables available has been derived from Ter-mates' own ASTA type tests carried out on various devices.

Flat earth braids are suitable for bonding doors, gear plates and covers and for connecting to main earth bars. Being durable and flexible, flat braids are ideally suited for this application and are the preferred connection for reducing the effects of EMC within enclosures.These braids can be provided either tinned or plain in a variety of lengths and sizes, with pre-punched ends on larger braids.

Busbars and FishplatesBusbars and Fishplates are manufactured from hard drawn, radius edged, high conductivity copper to BS1432 grade C101.All bars and fishplates are pre-punched at both ends (see page 30).In Horizontal Modules, bars are provided with additional holes for dropper or riser connections. These are at one end only in up to 900mm Modules and at both ends in 1000mm and above.Bars supplied with Vertical Modules are punched for take-off connections.Bars can be supplied with additional holes punched to meet individual requirements.

TinningBars and Fishplates may be Acid Tinned to BS1872 add suffix ' . . . /TIN' to part number when ordering.

FramesFrames are manufactured from folded and welded mild steel, with passivated zinc finish.
