COVID-19 UPDATES

• What we did:– 100% of Veterans, visitors, employees, vendors, etc. are

screened according to CDC / OSHA recommendations upon arrival to the facility.

– Mandatory Masking to keep Veterans, visitors, and employees safe.

– Med/Surg/ICU inpatients can have 2 visitors per day between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

– 18,670 vaccinations administered as of July 14th • 46% of Veterans Receiving At least One Dose of Vaccine• 80% of Employees Receiving At least One Dose of Vaccine

COVID-19 UPDATES

• Where we are:– The waiting rooms have been spaced out to allow for social

distancing.– We are continuing to screen upon entry of building and require

mask/shield.• Clinics:

– Our inpatient census is over 100% of our pre-COVID census.– Our CLC census remains low due national admission restrictions.– Primary Care and Mental Health workload is slightly less than pre-

COVID, mainly due to staffing shortages and inability to conduct Groups.

– Specialty Care and Surgical Cases are above our pre-COVID baselines.

• Renovate Tower of Building 1: Construction underway, estimated

completion September 2021

• CLC Hospice Cottage: Construction award anticipated Fall 2021.

• New Prosthetics: Convert the existing Auditorium to a new

Prosthetics Clinic.

• New Canteen / Nutrition and Food Service Kitchen: Convert the

existing Canteen Store and Prosthetics to a new Store and Café,

and new kitchens for both.

• Increases transportation resources for all Veterans. • VTS staff are committed to assisting Veterans in:

– Making it to appointments– Reducing transportation issues
