The Skandi Achiever is a

purpose designed and built

diving support vessel suitable

for demanding markets. She

is capable of working

throughout the year in

virtually all sea and weather

conditions.

Built in 2007 the vessel is designed, constructed and certified for world-wide trading. The Skandi Achieverprovides services, which includesaturation dive support for offshoreconstruction and Inspection, Repairand Maintenance (IRM) operations. The vessel is designed with specialemphasis on good sea-keeping abili-ties and excellent station-keepingperformance. The Skandi Achiever is environ-mentally friendly with low fuelconsumption and features whichcomply with DNV CLEAN DESIGNrequirements.

Diving System The saturation diving system iscapable of supporting 18 divers infour, three man living chambers allo-wing for split level diving or ongoingdecompression. The system is ratedto 300 msw. There is a further 6 manchamber for decompression and thesystem is supported by an 18 diverHyperbaric Life Boat. The bell accommodates three diversand is launched and recoveredthrough a central moonpool. The diving bell heave compensationsystem extends the weather windowfor diving operations.

Dynamic Positioning SystemThe vessel is fitted with a fullyredundant Kongsberg Simrad SDP 21dynamic positioning system. Thereare two HiPAP 500 hydroacoustictransducers, two satellite positio-ning systems (DGPS), a fanbeam andtwo vertical taut wire referencesystems.

Machinery / PropulsionThe vessel is powered by 6 dieselengines, each driving a generator, which provides a total output of10 MW.

AccommodationThe modern accommodation for 100in single and twin berth cabins is desi-gned and equipped to meet DNVcomfort class V(3) requirements.

CranageThe pedestal mounted active heavecompensated knuckleboom craneis located on the starboard side ofthe main deck. It has 140 Te capacityat a radius of 10 m. On the port sideof the mezzanine deck there is asubsea knuckleboom crane tosupport diver operations. It has acapacity of 5 Te at 10 m to 3 Te at15 m. A small provision crane with a

capacity of 3 Te at 15 m is locatedabove the ROV hanger on the star-board side of the vessel.

Cargo AreasThe timbered main deck with an areaof approximately 540 m2 has a uni -form loading capacity of 10 Te/m2.The deck services include dedicatedelectrical power supply, seawater, compressed air, and oxy/acetylenefacilities. The mezzanine deck, withan area of approximately 120 m2 andcapable of supporting loads of5 Te/m2, is primarily used for thediver work stations and winches.

Remotely Operated Vehicles(ROVs) A Seaeye Lynx observation classROV is permanently installed in thehanger and deployed with a craneLARS to the port side of the vessel. The vehicle's primary function is toprovide support to the divers, andis fitted with a manipulator in addi-tion to the standard cameras andlighting system. The TMS vehicle israted to 1,500 m and is capable ofsupporting a payload of 30 kg usingvarious tooling packages. The vehiclecontrol system has been integratedinto the vessel accommodation.A Perry Slingsby 3000 m ratedTXLS 150 HP WCROV c/w TMS is
