GENERAL RULES

o Skaters may choose to enter the grade that most suits their standard, but may not move back to a lower level grade than that which they have already competed in Elementary Championships, State/National Championships (except where allowed in AAC Rules). Skaters may enter only 1 event per discipline (except where addition events are available).

o Condition of Entry All skaters must be Skate NSW/Skate Australia members.

o All nominations to be provided on the SkateNSW Portal by the Nomination Closing date.

o All fees to be paid by the Fees due date, otherwise late fees apply. Withdrawals will only be credited on receipt of Doctors Cert.

o Figure Foot Draws will be made by the Draw date.

o All Requirement Groups will be selected to suit the Final Calendar.

o Awards: Only skaters that attend the presentation will receive their awards - preferably on Skates/Outfit (or off Skates/Tracksuit).

‘RISING STARS’ RULES

o The Rising Stars events are CAT 3 events, open to any skater of Development Membership (or Competitive/Premium membership).

o Non members of Skate Australia that wish to compete in the CAT 4 events (Promotional Event) or CAT 3 events (Rising Stars), must join SkateNSW (minimum CAT 4 Recreational) in order to participate in one competition. They must upgrade to CAT 3 in order to participate in a second competition.

o ‘Rising Stars’ Events may only be entered by skaters who have not competed in League Competition in the relevant discipline.

o All Rising Stars grades will be open aged, except the Masters grade.

o *If any of the Open* aged events are entered by; five (5) or more skaters aged under 10 years or five (5) or more skaters aged 10 years and older, then that event will be calculated and awarded into two age groups (Under 10 and 10 & over).

o There are no Proficiency Test requirements for ‘Rising Stars’ events.

o Rising Stars events will be closed scoring

o Rising Stars - All Skaters will receive a Participation Certificate.

o Rising Stars - Skaters who place 1st, 2nd and 3rd will receive Medals (if they are present at the presentation).

‘LEAGUE’ RULES

o The Competitive events are open to any skater of Competitive (CAT 2) or Premium (CAT 1) membership.

o In order to provide a Development pathway, all League grades will be open aged, except the Masters grade or where specified.

o *If any of the Open* aged events are entered by; five (5) or more skaters aged under 10 years or five (5) or more skaters aged 10 years and older, or five (5) or more skaters aged 21 years and older, then that event will be calculated and awarded into three age groups (Under 10, 10 & over and 21 & over).

o Where feasible Championship Figure events will include more than 2 Figures.

o Where feasible Championship Figure events will be skated together.

o Where feasible Championship Free Skating events (Cadet, Youth & Advanced / Junior & Senior) will be skated together.

o Where feasible Free Skating International Short Program may be split into separate grades (Cadet, Youth, Junior, Senior).

o Where feasible Solo Free Dance Level 1 (Juvenile/Preliminary/Cadet) will be split into separate grades (Juvenile, Preliminary, Cadet)

o Where feasible Solo Free Dance Level 2 (Youth/Advanced) will be split into two grades

o Where feasible Solo Free Dance Level 3 (Junior/Senior).will be split into two grades

o ~ Proficiency Test requirements are a guide only. Note Skaters wishing to compete at State or Nationals championships will need the Proficiency Test level requirement for the grade, as per AAC Rules.

o Competitive events will be open scoring.

o Awards: Skaters who place 1st, 2nd and 3rd receive Medals (if they are present at the presentation).

These must be in character of the music & show.

3. Jumps up to 1 revolution allowed. 4. Movements or steps in stationary position are

allowed, but excessive stationary elements will

be given less credit. 5. Choreography must commence within 10

seconds of music starting. 6. Handheld props are allowed and once picked

up must be used until commencement of program.
