INTRODUCTION

The SL7000 is a data logger that has a very flexible combination ofinputs from a single temperature input up to 4 universal inputs (RTD,Thermocouple, mA, V, mV, Thermistor, Slidewire) combined with aninternal temperature and RH as well as a optional external temperature and RH sensor. All units feature a digital input whichcan be used as an event trigger or as a counter input enabling countsof up to 65535 per period to be recorded.

Powered by its own, user replaceable, internal battery that has atypical life in excess of 3 years, up to 128,000 readings can berecorded at intervals from 1 second to 24 hours.

The SL7000 features unprecedented accuracy, combining our extensive knowledge of instrumentation precision withdata logging technology. High end resolution of 16 Bit for all universal inputs and a modular build ensures that theunit is competitively priced whatever the application.

An on-board LCD display (Optional) shows selected channel information and integral LED displays provide immediate scanning and alarm status information.

The logger can be set to start immediate, start on an event (either a trigger event or the exercising of an externaldigital input) or start with the application of an external magnet (Provided). This feature enables loggers to be setup in advance of the mission by a supervisor and to be launched at the start of the journey / log period by an operator.

The SL7000 series data loggers areconnected to the computer via a USBcable (provided). It is possible to network up to 64 devices.

Data are downloaded to a PC computer using the free TempIT-Litesoftware via its USB interface.TempIT-Lite enables all parameters tobe set up and the logger issued, italso provides for data download, datastorage and graphing.

TempIT-Lite can be upgraded toTempIT-Pro quickly and easily over thetelephone to provide additional features such as multi-logger traceoverlays, data table display, data export, emailing of graphs, automaticMKT calculation etc.

Each Setpoint has an associated time. This time dictates theperiod the alarm must be continuously present before the alarmis raised. The options are 0 to 255 sample periods.

A programmable level per channel that will cause all channels tostart recording when the input first crosses the threshold in thespecified direction. An event can also be the exercising of anexternal digit signal or the activation of a magnetic swipe.

INTRODUCTION

The SL51T, SL52T and SL53T are self contained single channel temperature data loggers with the ability to record up to 8,000 data points. They operate in a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C depending upon the model chosen. They arevery small (about the same size as a watch battery) which enables them to be inserted into small items and packages.

The SL50R Button Reader™ interfaces to the RS232 or USB port of a PC and is totallycompatible with the TempIT-lite operating software which enables the logger to beset up and the data read and displayed in graphical format. Data can be stored andretrieved at a later time. The software can be up-graded to TempIT-Pro which provides various additional features such as data table view, export data to spreadsheet, email graphs, snap to trace, and automated MKT Calculations etc.

The SL50-ACC01 is a water tight enclosure that allows the SL51T, SL52T and SL53T data loggers to be used in more hostile environments than the standard buttons. Constructed from 316 stainless steel the two part enclosure is sealed on an o-ring and provides greater protection in high pressure (up to 10 Bar), deep water (over 100m) or fluid monitoring as well as aggressive chemical applications

Battery LifeBattery life is considerably shortened by fast logging and at temperatures in excess of 45 °C. The following graphs show their effecton the product life of the SL53. Because of this effect , the logger can only be used in 'Stop when Full' mode for sample intervals ofless than 1 Minute. Graphs shown are for high resolution mode, longer life is achieved using low resolution mode (contact sales officefor details.). For extreme worst case applications (1 second log interval @ 125 °C) battery life is restricted to 25 test cycles in high

resolution mode and 76 test cycles in low resolution mode.Increasing the sample time and reducing the temperatureexposure will increase life significantly.

The SL54TH is our lowest cost temperature and relative humidity data logger.
