With its clever glass attachmentand guide mechanism, this sophisticated hardware system opens upnew dimensions in the field of transparent room design for architectsand planners. It is remarkably simple to install: the suspension is fittedfrom the interior, thus providing protection against break-ins, and thecountersunk suspension bolt permits an especially low installation height.It is also extremely simple to adjust the position of the glass slidingdoor as the vertical adjustment can be carried out from the interior.

Glass cut-outs and visible hardware are now no longer nec-essary. A retainer profile for wall and floor fitting provides sufficientstability, whether flush or mounted. A Hawa rubber profile or a siliconegroove hold the glass in position and prevent humidity seeping be-tween glass and track. The top track set also has a cover profilemade of aluminium which simply clips into and closes the stationaryglass retainer in the walk-through area - a solution which is both easyto use and pleasing to the eye.

It is a high-quality lockfor securing sliding doors fitted with a 17 mm profile or 22 mm roundcylinder. It has been designed to blend perfectly with the HAWA-Junior GP range of sliding door systems in terms of both form andcolour. A countercasing is available for locking double-panel slidingdoor systems. A wall-fitting profile with integrated locking plate allowssecuring doors to a wall surface. 1 . G e n e r a l p r o v i s i o n s1.1 The following terms apply to all agreements, regardless of whether these may specifically be sales agreements, work contracts or supply

contracts.1.2 These conditions governing supplies and services are also valid even if they have no longer been expressly repeated or agreed.1.3 It is understood that these terms are accepted by the customer, at the latest at the time of receipt of our deliveries and services.1.4 Statements on the part of our contractual partners to the effect that their terms of business shall be effective, cannot be accepted.

2 . E s t i m a t e s a n d c o n c l u s i o n o f c o n t r a c t s2.1 Our estimates are not binding and are subject to alteration without notice. Verbal statements on the part of our representatives, as well

as all orders, require our written confirmation in order to become legally binding; this also applies to annexes, amendments or secondaryagreements.

2.2 Drawings, illustrations, dimensions, weights or other specifications are only binding if they have been explicitly agreed in writing.2.3 The extent of the deliveries or services is determined by the concurrent written declarations of both parties. If an order has been placed

or a delivery is effected by us without existing concurrent written statements, then our order confirmation shall be binding.

3 . D e l i v e r i e s3.1 The supplier is entitled to determine the means of dispatch. Freight charges or postage will be billed in full for all express, mail and direct

consignments. We also reserve the right to bill for partial freight costs. Any taxes and charges due will be passed on in full.3.2 Surcharges for small orders will be applicated as follows: for consignments with a value of up to Sfr. 250.–, a small order sucharge of

Sfr. 60.- will be billed.3.3 We reserve the right to charge packaging at cost. Special packaging requirements will be charged separately.3.4 Returned goods will not be accepted without our prior consent. Any processing involved will be charged according to actual cost.

4 . D e l i v e r y t i m e s4.1 The delivery times for goods and services depends upon the mutual concurrent written statements concerned. If specific dates have not

been agreed upon, notification of the deadline for the delivery of goods or provision of services must be made to us in good time, in orderto enable us to deliver the goods or provide the services concerned within the course of our normal business activity.

4.2 We cannot be held responsible if any delivery or performance date, even if it has been agreed upon in a binding manner, should bedelayed or rendered impossible through acts of God or other circumstances beyond our control, in particular strikes, lock-outs,government orders etc. Under such circumstances, we are entitled to postpone the delivery or service partially or in its entirety until suchhindrance has passed, adding a reasonable starting period, or to step down from the contract with regard to not yet fulfilled obligations.

4.3 Observance of deadlines is subject to the punctual receipt of all documents, required approvals, releases and other obligations to beprovided by the customer. If these requirements are not met by our contractual partner, the time limit is extended accordingly.

5 . Te r m s o f d e l i v e r y a n d t r a n s f e r o f r i s k5.1 Interpretation of the terms of delivery clauses EXW, FCA, FAS, FOB, CFR, CIF, CPT, CIP, DAF, DES, DEQ, DDU, DDP is governed by

Incoterms 2000 (international rules for the interpretation of the contractual clauses customary in trade).Publication 560 of the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris, insofar as nothing to the contrary is expressly stipulated in the contract.

5.2 Risk is transfered, even if carriage paid was agreed on, at the time the consignment leaves our warehouse. Transport insurance is alwaysthe responsibility of the customer.

6 . R e s e r v a t i o n o f o w n e r s h i p r i g h t s6.1 Until all debts are paid, including all balances of open current accounts, due now or in the future for any legal reason, the following

securities are to be provided and to be released upon demand, as far as their value substantially exceeds the amount due by more than20 per cent.

6.2 All goods remain our property. If our property rights expire through union, it is already agreed in advance that the property rights to theobjects concerned shall pass to ourselves in proportion to their value (invoice value). Our property is to be preserved for us free of charge.Goods that are our property are designated as reserved property as stated below. This also applies to jointly held property.

6.3 Reserved property can be processed and sold in the due course of business, as long as no default exists. Assignments by way of pledgeor security transfer are not permissible. Claims regarding reserved property arising from re-sale or other legal grounds, including all claimsin connection with open accounts, shall be ceded to us in their full extent as a security already at this time. However, the claim ceded tous may also be collected by our contractual partner, unless this entitlement is revoked. This can only occur if our contractual partner failsto duly fulfill his financial obligations.

6.4 In case of third party intervention regarding the reserved property, our property rights shall be duly declared and notification must be madeto us immediately.

6.5 In case of default of payment, we are entitled to take back the reserved property and, if necessary, to demand the assignment of ourcontractual partner's claim for return of property towards third parties. Taking back or assigning the reserved property by way of pledgedoes not lead to withdrawal from the contract, so far as the legal provisions of instalment sales are not affected.

Terms of sales and delivery

7 . Te r m s o f p a y m e n t7.1 Notwithstanding other provisions, our invoices shall be payable within 30 days, without deductions.7.2 Payments are valid as soon as the amount paid is placed at our disposal. In the case of payment by check, payment is not considered

to have been effected until the check has been cleared. We do not accept payment by bill of exchange.7.3 In the event of default of payment, we are entitled to charge interest from the time of default onwards at the interest rate charged by

commercial banks for open current account loans, though at least 4 per cent above the valid bank rate of the Swiss National Bank.7.4 If the financial obligations are not promptly fulfilled, in particular if a check is not cleared or if payments are stopped, or if other circum-

stances become known to us that place the credit standing of our contractual partner in question, we are entitled to declare the entireoutstanding sum as due with immediate effect. We are also entitled to request provision of security.

8 . P r o d u c t p e r f o r m a n c e8.1 If the product performance is not clearly stated in our catalogues, brochures, specification sheets etc., then the performance required of

the individual products must be specifically agreed with us.8.2 Product performance is subject to correct assembly, frequency of use, manner of use, environmental influences, maintenance etc.

9 . P r o d u c t m a i n t e n a n c e9.1 Only such cleaning agents are permitted which do not contain any elements which promote corrosion.

1 0 . O b l i g a t i o n s t o p r o v i d e i n f o r m a t i o n a n d i n s t r u c t i o n10.1 The following documentation must be placed at the disposal of specialised dealers, architects, planners, consultants or processing staff

for information and instruction purposes:� catalogues, brochures� instructions for planning and assembly, as well as for maintenance� advice and training by the company

10.2 For the selection of products, for installation, operation and maintenance tasks:a) Architects, planners and consultants are to request all necessary product information material from us and to observe the contents

thereof.b) Specialised dealers are to observe the contents of all product information and, in particular, to request all necessary instruction material

from us and to place such material at the disposal of all processing staff.c) Processing staff are to observe the contents of all product information and, in particular, to request all maintenance instruction material

from us and to place such material at the disposal of their principals and all users.

1 1 . W a r r a n t y11.1 We can only bear liability towards our contractual partners. Warranty claims are therefore not assignable.11.2 Liability for the faultless functioning of all products delivered by us, and for the service life of all parts, with the exception of parts subject to

wear and tear, will be borne by us for a period of 24 months from the time of the transfer of the risk. No liability will beaccepted by us for damage to parts which wear out prior to normal life expectancy or due to improper handling, if our assemblyinstructions or maintenance instructions are not duly observed, if modifications are carried out on the delivered product, or if spare partsare used which do not correspond to our original specifications. We regret that our guarantee terms do not apply to any item that is usedcontrary to the original specifications. Our warranty for start up, assembly and maintenance is in accordance with the provisions of theSwiss Code of Obligations.

11.3 Defective products that are reported to us in due time during the warranty period will be replaced by us free of charge. No additionalclaims may be made which go beyond the replacement of Hawa mountings free of charge. If we are requested to repair such defects onlocation, we are entitled to receive reimbursement for additional expenditure incurred.

11.4 We are entitled to request the defective part to be returned to us for repair purposes, after which it will be returned to the customer, or thatit should be held ready for our collection.

11.5 For secondary repairs undertaken by ourselves we grant the same warranty as for the delivered product or service, though only for aperiod of 6 months. The warranty period commences on the day the secondary repair was accepted. Should the repaired product fail tofunction after repeated reasonable attempts, or should we fail to comply with a deadline set for repairing a defect through our own fault,the contract can be cancelled, or a reduction of the price can be demanded. This right also applies in the event that we should neglectour duty to repair a defect through our own fault.

1 2 . P l a c e o f j u r i s d i c t i o n12.1 The declared place of jurisdiction is Affoltern am Albis/Switzerland. The supplier also reserves the right to take action against the customer

in the latter's own place of jurisdiction.12.2 This legal relationship is subject to Swiss law.
