Adding Eyes to Cars

• Based on depth-sensing technology, it fulfills the range

and resolution vision requirements of fully autonomous

driving.

• Developed sensing using nano-antenna technology that

promises greater resolution across a longer range (150

meter) with no moving parts, blinding resistance and in

all-weather conditions.

• The technology is explained as follows: Instead of capturing light particles with photo-electric, light is received

as waves using tiny antennas manufactured in silicon arrays in a thin

film process.

Car Data Exchange Platform

• Cloud-based data exchange platform enabling car manufacturers, drivers and service providers to be a part of a connected ecosystem.

• Aims to give OEM’s and drivers a way of making use of the massive amount of data generated by cars by creating a marketplace that car ecosystem service providers can tap into.

• Application sits between the auto manufacturers and the various vendors who would leverage the data (insurance, safety, maintenance, gas stations, fleet).

• The service role is a reminder of the potential value in turning the car into a data gathering nod in the Internet-of-Things.

Dash Camera Application

• Helps drivers to protect themselves on the road and provides documentation, recorded video, and situational reconstruction in case of an accident.

• The connected smartphone app issues a warning in case of danger on the road and automatically records event data to a private, secure cloud account.

• An internal-camera mode also allows taxi or ride-sharing drivers to protect themselves from unruly or drunk passengers.

• Employs machine vision and sensor fusion algorithms, leveraging the iPhone’s sensors to analyze and understand the car’s surroundings.

• The on-device analysis, combined with recorded video, allows it to create a detailed accident report that completely transforms the insurance claims process.

• Has the potential to warn drivers in real time of road hazards beyond their field of vision.

compounds, improve traffic lights in smart cities, and

enable autonomous cars.

• The Intelligent Transportation System is a 3D, 360-degree

sensor that allows accurate traffic-load monitoring

for cloud-based traffic management.

Vital Signs RF Sensor

• Work is underway to develop a contactless vital-signs

sensor for vehicle cabins.

• The fully autonomous sensor monitors riders' heart rate,

respiratory rate, and movements.

• The monitor prevents vehicle-related tragedies, such as

forgetting children, who could then suffer heatstroke, or

collisions resulting from heart failure.

• The sensor emits RF waves that report vital signs to the

system. By ruling the data against logs in the cloud, the

platform interprets riders' conditions. Upon indication of

danger, a warning is sent to a paired mobile device or the

car alarm is set off.

Road Hazard Prediction

• Deep learning technologies provide municipalities with

forward looking and actionable insights.

• The machine learning platform predicts traffic accidents

and related congestion before they occur.

• With an integrated decision support solution, authorities

are able to select the optimal preventative course of

action.

• The solution is SaaS based, every city can become a

smart city independent of infrastructural investment.

Shrinking Cars

• The car can narrow its width to 1 meter to fit into parking

spaces designed for motorcycles. To accomplish this feat,

the car's wheels are pulled toward the center of the frame

before parking.

• The patent-pending electric car provides the driving

experience of a car but the parking experience of a much

smaller vehicle.

• Four of the cars could fit into a standard-sized parking

space. The company is currently working on the prototype

of the expandable platform and exploring potential

partnerships with car manufacturers.

Electric Connected and Folding Scooter

• The Digital Personal Vehicle (DPV), is a connected

electric scooter for urban transport.

• With a robotic, automatic folding mechanism, the scooter

is easy to carry to work or a café.

• It is electric, fully digital, and fully connected with GSM,

BT, and Wi-Fi onboard.

• Its digital personal platform features entertainment,

maintenance, security, and social capabilities.

• This DPV brings luxury-car standards of design,

comfort, safety, and performance to the scooter.

Hybrid Engine for Cars and Generators

• The solution is a super-efficient combustion engine combined with a dedicated electricity generator.

• The engine only has a single piston that moves from side to side instead of up and down.

• The generator charges a battery located beneath the car floor under the back seat.

• The system has the potential to be much more efficient than standard internal combustion engines, with lower emissions and overall lower cost.

• It also requires fewer batteries and has a greater range than an all-electric system.

• As of 2016, an European car maker is pilot testing the engine.

Sensor for Cabin Occupancy

• Is an advanced 3D sensor that detects the presence of humans by identifying certain motions.

• These sensors replace in-seat pressure sensors, seat-belt sensors and standard drivers' cameras since they indicate location, physical dimensions, and the body position of each passenger.

• The sensors detect the presence of humans even where there is no direct line of sight. First the depth sensor detects the motions of objects within a given scene. The company’s algorithm then classifies the object according to the typical motions of humans, animals, and objects.

• Among other applications, the sensor answers the problem of babies being forgotten in vehicles.

and fleet managers that prevents smartphone distraction

while driving, thus preventing accidents.

• The app enables limiting and blocking smartphone

features while driving.

Text Blocking while Driving• Is an in-vehicle protection system to prevent accidents

that result from texting while driving.

• This is achieved by preventing the driver from using

texting applications when the vehicle is in motion, while

other passengers are not affected.

• The technology incorporates RF, machine learning, and

signal processing and creates a virtual canopy over the

driver.

• It enables additional growth by providing synchronized

vehicle and mobile parameters, creating an online big

data platform.

Automotive Cyber Security Solution

• It is secure centralized ECU which provides high

assurance defense for vehicle networks.

• The centralized cyber security platform within the vehicle,

provides security services to all ECUs in the vehicle.

• This leads to consolidation, lower complexity, easier

certification and overall cost reduction.

• The local ECU protection (Local SNO), provides an easy

to integrate (drop-in) cyber security hardware solution,

specifically designed for Infotainment, Telematics and

other ECU’s with external communication, preventing the

car from being hacked remotely and thus providing a

security in depth approach.

Driver Safety & Security

• The driver safety products eliminate distractions and prevent driving under the influence of alcohol or extreme tiredness.

• The solution blocks the use of selected apps by a driver, without affecting other phones in the vehicle.

• Its Alcohol Interlock system requires passing an alcohol test before ignition of a vehicle; three failed attempts cause the vehicle to shut down for an hour as a contact person is notified of its status and exact location.

• The solution additionally offers large fleets and transportation companies an innovative technological solution that detects when drivers are in danger of falling asleep. An alarm inside the cabin alerts the driver, thus increasing safety, reducing accidents, and protecting company assets.

• Combined with the automatic enforcement of policies to prevent texting while driving, these solutions significantly reduce accident costs and help keep drivers safe.

• Its ready-to-embed products protect against malicious intrusions that may compromise data privacy or electronic control units.

• Enables car manufacturers and suppliers to offer connectivity without compromising privacy or safety.

• Prevent recalls and apply equally to aftermarket connectivity platforms. An easily integrated and seamlessly updating cyber security layer uses Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) algorithms to detect OS anomalies, isolate suspicious applications, and prevent the spread of attacks.

• Protects private and commercial vehicles, fleets, and dealerships against hacking of a wide range of infotainment and telematics units, as well as of locking, ignition, engine, braking, airbag, and other safety-critical systems.

Firewall for Cars

• An autonomous cyber security solution for connected vehicles.

• Integrates seamlessly into a vehicle's engine control unit (ECU) and provides multiple security layers to automatically seal automotive software against cyberattacks.

• Instead of relying on malware signature updates and software patches, the solution hardens the ECU runtime environment to detect and prevent all operations that do not comply with original factory settings.

• All security decisions are made autonomously on the ECU, irrespective of connectivity status. Any new firmware is installed with its corresponding new security policy.
