3.1.1. PLANNING AND RUNNING

The organization of the event was in charge of the Project Coordinator, COBRA. The workshop was held

on 5th October 2017 in the Campus Puerta de Toledo of Carlos III University, Madrid, Spain.

One of the main task was to brainstorm about possible actors interested in the project and, once

identified, try to reach them out for participation.. All Consortium members had to define an ideal

assistant profile in order to carry out a segmentation in our database and capture those users who were

most interested in attending the GRIDSOL Project event. A list of customers and stakeholders was

established including members from the Advisory Board. Each partner sent a first suggestion for a list of

attendees located in the its countries trying to cover an interested public from different European

countries.

All list were analysed and an electronic invitation was designed according to the branding of the GRIDSOL

Project. The Consortium tried to be as visual as possible so that the user immediately grasped that it was

the GRIDSOL project. We placed a single Call to Action that focused on the registration to the event.

3.2. SECOND INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP OF GRIDSOL PROJECT

3.2.1. PLANNING AND RUNNING

The second workshop was organized by the project leader, COBRA, in collaboration with ETRA, NTUA and

HEDNO, on 25th September 2018, and hosted at the premises of HEDNO, in Athens. GRIDSOL Project

decided to organize the second workshop with another European project funded by the European

Commission, WiseGRID Project.

Prior to this decision, an exhaustive search was carried out from the Cooperation group of Smart Grids

and Energy Storage H2020 projects: BRIDGE, a group of which GRIDSOL is an active member. Finally, the

decision to carry out the project with WiseGRID was due to the high relation that the WiseGRID project

has with the concept of the project: RES integration.

Another reason for the choice was that WiseGRID project is coordinated by ETRA, which is also a partner

of the GRIDSOL consortium, as well as NTUA and HEDNO.

An electronic invitation was designed according to the branding of the GRIDSOL Project as well as the

branding of the WiseGRID Project and entitled "RES Integration and Customer engagement". The

invitation was sent by email , including the meeting agenda, instructions on how to reach the event

location and some suggestions for accommodation in Athens.
