Figure 9

The machine’s attachment mounting wedges mustextend through the holes (Item 1) [Figure 9] in thesnow blower mounting frame, to securely fasten thesnow blower to the attachment mounting plate.

Hydraulic Couplers

Verify that the attachment hydraulic couplers match themachine’s auxillary hydraulic couplers. If the couplersdo not match, the attachment couplers will need to bechanged to match the machine’s auxillary hydrauliccouplers.

To Connect:

Remove any dirt or debris from the surface of both themale and female couplers, and from the outsidediameter of the male coupler. Visually check thecouplers for corroding, cracking, damage, or excessivewear. If any of these conditions exist, replace thecoupler(s).

Install the male coupler into the female coupler. Pull onthe coupler connection to verify that the male andfemale couplers securely fastened.

To Disconnect:

Relieve hydraulic pressure. (See the machine’sOperation Manual for correct procedure.)

Push the couplers together, retract the sleeve on thefemale coupler until the couplers disconnect.

The attachment mounting wedges must extendthrough the holes in the attachment mountingframe. Attachment locking levers must be fullylowered and locked. The attachment can come offif the wedges are not secured.

• Thoroughly clean the quick couplers beforemaking connections. Dirt can quickly damagethe system.

• Contain and dispose of any oil leakage in anenvironmentally safe manner.

AVOID BURNS

Hydraulic fluid, tubes, fittings and quick couplerscan get hot when running machine andattachments. Be careful when connecting anddisconnecting quick couplers.

Work and Travel Speed

Working ground speed will depend upon the depth anddensity of the snow. Adjust speed as needed to clearthe work area.

NOTE: A definite pattern of operation is required tothoroughly clean the work area. Thefollowing patterns will aid the operator andavoid throwing snow in unwanted areas ofthe work area.

Left or Right Discharge

Figure 11

Where it is possible to throw the snow to the left andright sides of the work area, move the machine andsnow blower to the center of the work area [Figure 11].

Move the machine and snow blower forward, from oneend to the other, blowing snow to either side withoutchanging the direction of the discharge chute[Figure 11].

Single Sided Discharge

Figure 12

Where snow can only be thrown to one side, move themachine and snow blower to opposite end of the workarea, away from the area the snow will be thrown[Figure 12].

Move the machine and snow blower forward. At theend of the first path, rotate the dischage chute 180° tomaintain direction the snow needs to be thrown. Rotatethe discharge chute 180° at each end of the work areauntil desired amount of snow has been cleared[Figure 12].
