Teacher Notes: This printable pack can be used in many ways. I would suggest laminating the pages for extended use. Feel free to use this pack in whatever way you’d like. Here’s a few helpful tips: ABC Snowflake Tracers The ABC snowflake tracers can be used over and over again. They can be presented on a tray with playdough as a way to introduce proper letter formation. Students can “form” the letters with dough to practice following the dotted arrow font. Once students are familiar with the correct letter formation, present the snowflake letters with a dry erase marker so students can practice tracing the letters. Snowflake Letter Matching Cut out the uppercase letter owls and lowercase letter snowflakes. Present in a winter sensory bin and allow students to dig through and find the pairs. ABC Snowflakes Present this worksheet with the uppercase, lowercase, and/or phonics cards. Students grab a card and trace the matching letter. For added fun, hide these in a bin of white beans, cotton balls, or another “snow” sensory material to make a fun winter alphabet center activity. Snowflake Phonics Match The cards can be used with either the uppercase or lowercase letter cards. You can even use magnetic letters and have students match the letter to the picture with the same starting sound (i.e. Octopus would be paired with the letter ‘O’). Snowflake Phonics Worksheets This worksheet can be used with the snowflake phonics match cards. Students grab a card and mark/color the letter with the same starting sound. Snowman Phonics Worksheets Each worksheet contains a phonics match for six letters of the alphabet. These are great to follow up after working on the Snowflake Phonics Match cards. We hope that this Snowflake Preschool Alphabet Center will help make learning fun for your students!
