Nevertheless, the local outfit were back in the lead a minute later with a great goal by Arana. The blanquiazules task became even harder when midfielder Ricardo was sent off on 80 minutes. This great event will be held in Adeje between November 8 and 10 and we have some great news for Rangers and Scotland National team fans, and maybe even some Manchester United fans: probably Rangers’ best ever goalkeeper, Andy Goram, is coming to play in this year’s Masters 7s. Andy will play with other ex pros in the all-star team, joining the likes of ex-Manchester United and England star, Neil Webb, and David Johnson - ex Manchester United, Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest and Jamaica national team. The two all-star teams are playing against social teams flying in from Liverpool, London, Glasgow, Ayrshire, Chesterfield, Ireland and even further afield.

This event is free for the family to come and watch and is great fun. We also need one more local Tenerife Team and some volunteers – adults or kids. The more helpers we have the better the event will be!

Weekly pickup games for kids

We are starting a session for those children aged eight years old to 13 who would like to start playing football once a week but might not want to play in a team for whatever reason. The basic concept is like the old days when we played football in the back garden or streets with the neighbourhood kids. For the pickup games whoever turns up gets to join a

team and we provide a little guidance - just for fun. We at Soccer Experience have done this project in many places before and it’s worked well. We will be looking to do these sessions on Wednesday from 7pm – 8pm. We will also be starting a fun Soccer Tots class on a Wednesday 6pm – 7pm.

We are not playing that badly but are not picking up points, though if we can stumble along and keep in touch with the bottom part of the league until January, then bring in some quality in the transfer window we may be okay.
