Vimeo- Great portfolio option for professional videos like for weddings as well as place for filmmakers to promote their work. Blip TV- Like YouTube, there is revenue sharing. you can distribute videos to other channels and social networks. TubeMogul- Not a video channel, but like Blip TV, you can distribute content to other video channels and social networks.

Facebook - Build your brand/company by sharing content, building a Facebook Fan Page and using Facebook ads. Twitter - Untapped resource to distribute/find content quickly and to make contact with influencers and decision makers. Linkedin - Good place to promote business oriented content. Myspace - Still effective if you are involved in music. Flickr-Offers 300MB free uploads of photos each month, but you get unlimited storage for photos and videos for $25. Picassa-Offers 1 GB of free storage for photos and videos, while $5 gives you 20 GB (400 GB - $100/yr).

Blogger-Free and self hosted. Ability to advertise (Google Adsense, Amazon, Banners). Very few theme options. Wordpress.com-Free and self hosted Choice platform for NY Times & Tech Crunch. Plenty of themes. No ability to advertise. Wordpress.org- Freedom, ability to advertise, boundless themes. You are responsible for hosting and technical problems. Tumblr-Free self hosted, limited features, growing popularity. Yola/Weebly -Build your own website on free self hosted platforms. Great option if you are not a coder and you need something quick and easy to promote your brand/company.

Email- Most people still use email on a daily basis. When disbursing content, make sure you email your contacts. Flyers-Coffee shops are filled with laptop users. Make a flyer with your blog, Twitter, info & place the flyer next to the karaoke night flyer. Word of Mouth- If someone asks what you are up to, tell them about your blog or video channel. That person could be the key to your future. Business Cards-Put your Twitter handle, website, blog. etc on your cards. Vista offers 250 cards for free.

Don't Get Burned Out Like This Guy You don't have to use every channel to promote your content. Target the ones that you have the most contacts or give you the most opportunity to share your content. As you become more comfortable, you can experiment with the other social networks. Have fun and be creative!
