Next WeekItem Task

1. Watch the Module 3 – Social Mechanics video provided at professorbrey.com on social commerce. Remember, post comments concerning the video on the page it is posted.

2. Read Socialnomics: Chapter 1

3. Read through the links that have been provided on the mechanics of social media outlets (i.e., how to use Twitter for business). Keep this information in mind as you move forward in completing the weekly assignments.

4. You will need to tweet at least one social media pertinent tweet throughout the week. Remember, you will be required to Tweet 25 throughout the course of the semester so more is better. To get credit you will need to use the #hashtag that we develop in class!

5. You are required to write your second blog post on the basics of one application. Within this post, you will be required to outline how to use one social media application. You ARE NOT ALLOWED to discuss Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Delicious, Wordpress, YouTube or Slideshare.

6. I will distribute a list of your peer’s blogs on Wordpress. You will be required to read (5) of their blogs and post commentary about what they have written. As the author of the blog, you are required to respond back to your peer’s commentary.

7. You will also be required, using the Wordpress feature, to follow all of the blogs in the class. This means follow each student and the instructor – this will be important to see who posts what to your blog and vice versa.

8. For those of who have not completed your Wordpress site and linked the associated applications, please complete. You will also be required to show that you have material in each of the applicants (i.e., Tweets, bookmarks, etc.)
