Key Facts
Using messaging as a platform, not only as messaging tools as current successful OTTs.
From App Store model under control of OEMs and OS companies to “service store” managed by telcos. Take profit of what big brands marketers said “we need a common global reach channel” and apps are not. Twilio and Voxeo are monetizing Voice and SMS REST API. Why not ? Solaiemes pioneered this for joyn/RCS.

& help telcos to avoid becoming pipe
Problem to be solved ?
is a GSMA brand to commercialize Rich Communication Services (RCS)
RCS combines Chat, File Transfer, Live Videosharing, Location Sharing & Presence to be the evolution of legacy SMS/MMS messaging.
RCS took too long to take off due to “telco elephant speed” and the internal partisans of own OTT silos, but finally IS TAKING OFF.
Big vendors and global carriers are pushing it
http://www.ericsson.com/article/120727_vodafone_spain_1595655398_c Analysts started to cover as a relevant future business for telcos and point the key role of the API http://blogs.forrester.com/dan_bieler/13-03-04-joyn_next_generation_business_communications
And, what is ?
If communication capabilities can be used as internet API, they will be used.
Solaiemes approach is to expose telco capabilities from outside the SBC, as UNI (user to network interface), it means infrastructure instancing “virtual clients” managed by REST/SOAP API becoming services o alternative access to the telco capability.
Then, developers could create use cases based on messaging as they are doing with voice and SMS with APIs from Twilio and Tropo.
