Am I Right for a PPA?

Greenzu is proud to provide solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) opportunities to small

businesses and non-profits that cannot afford the high upfront cost of installing a solar system.

When evaluating a commercial solar project for a PPA, we look for buildings that have the

following attributes:

Electricity Rates than $0.12 per kWh: The price you pay to your local utility provider for

electricity also plays a role in whether your site is suitable for a solar PPA. By sending us several

previous utility bills for your building, we can help you determine this as well.

Sunny Area: This is a number that indicates how much sunshine your location receives

throughout the year, measured in “full sun hours” per day. Once again, Greenzu will work with

you to ascertain this aspect of your location.

South Exposure: Ideally, your building will be located in a town or city that receives a lot of

sunshine throughout the year.

No Obstructions: Your building will have as few obstructions as possible – including trees, other

buildings, billboards, and so on – to minimize the amount of shade cast on your roof.

Good Roofing Structure: We need a strong foundation on which to install a solar installation.

For Greenzu, that means flat, built-up roofs (no foam or vinyl roofing) in good condition.

Ideal building height: A Greenzu solar system works best on buildings that are no more than

four stories high.

Building Ownership or Lease: Greenzu prefers to work with companies that either own their

buildings or have building leases of 15 years or more.
