Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God Mass Schedule
(No 7:00am Morning Masses at St. Marys until 4 January)
Traditional Latin MassThis year a morning Mass has been added 1 January at St. Marys - it will be a Missa Cantata
or sung Mass in the Extraordinary Form or according to the Missal of Pope John XXIII. Starting in February, a traditional Latin Mass will be offered on the first Saturday
of each month at St. Marys. More information coming!
The Parish Office Hours for the Holy Days: We close at noon on 24 December, and remain closed thru 28 December for the Nativity of the Lord (Christmas) Holy Day. Normal Hours will resume on Tuesday, 29 December.The Office will close at noon on 31 December and remain closed thru 1 January for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God Holy Day. Normal Hours will resume on Monday, 4 January.
Religious Education Classes: There will be no classes on 27 December and 3 January. We will see you back in class on 10 January.

Epiphany Choral Mass! On Sunday, 3 January, the Cathedral Choir will sing Missa Secunda by Hans Leo Hassler at the 11:15am Mass. Hassler (1564-1612) was a German composer and organist of the late Renaissance and early Baroque eras. Although he was Protestant, he had Catholic patrons and wrote several Masses and directed the music for Catholic services in Augsburg. His Missa Secunda is compsed for four voices.
Men’s Bible StudyMatthew: The King and Kingdom
Beginning 5 January, Deacon Paul will lead a men’s bible study (by Jeff Cavins and Sarah Christmyer) on Tuesdays at St. Mary’s Hall from 7:30 to 8:30am (immediately following the 7:00am Mass. Tuesday Morning Faith Sharing and Bible Study: will begin meeting again on Tuesday, 5 January, in the Conference room of 119 Broad St.
Altar Server Training Altar Server Training is on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 10:00am. Contact Daniel Barton at (843) 367-1871 to sign up. Those in 3rd grade or older and are interested in serving at Holy Mass are invited to attend the next training Sunday, 17 January, at 10:00am in the Church.

Active Membership: Various facilities and services are available to our active members. This includes use of the Church for Baptisms, Weddings, and other sacramental events, and includes parishioner status in parochial schools.
ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP is determined by four things:
• Being properly registered in the parish for a sufficient period of time.
• Faithful attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days.
• Use of the envelope system in regular support of the parish.
• Being active in at least one parish• program, ministry, or organization.
SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE
Either the bride or the groom must be a practicing Catholic and registered at the Cathedral for at least twelve months before scheduling a wedding date and beginning the six months marriage preparation. The bride/groom must be an active parishioner, regularly attending Mass on Sundays and Holydays of Obligation, and use of the envelope system in regular support of the parish.
