    David A. Sprecace

    David practices tax and business litigation. He is a 1989 graduate of Creighton University School of Law, and a 1993

    graduate of the LL.M.-Tax program at the University of Denver. Since 1993, he has defended taxpayers from the I.R.S.,

    the Colorado Department of Revenue, and local tax authorities, and advocated the claims and defenses of his

    business clients. He is a member of the Colorado, Florida, and Nebraska bar associations, and is licensed to practice

    before the U.S. Tax Court, the 9th

    and 10th

    Circuit Courts of Appeal, and several other federal courts. He has served as

    an Associate Municipal Judge in Englewood since 2004. He has been active in civic groups and on various boards and

    commissions, serving in the following capacities:

    2013-present, member, CBA Tax Section Council; 2013-present, Fellow, Colorado Bar Foundation; 2012, Chair, CBA Solo & Small Firm Council; 2010-2011, CBA Solo and Small Firm representative to the Board of Governors; 2004-present, member, Englewood Board of Adjustment & Appeal; 2001-2008, member, Colorado Board of Health; 2002-2004, Secretary, City Club of Denver; 2001-2003, Director, Community College of Denver Foundation; 2002, Director, Metro Wastewater Reclamation District; 2002, President, Greater Denver Tax Counsel Association.

    Matthew Hand

    Matthew practices criminal defense in Denver, CO. He is a 2005 cum laudegraduate of NYU School of Law, and a

    1998 summa cum laudegraduate of NYU College of Arts & Science. He is a former Deputy District Attorney for

    Adams County, and has tried approximately 40 misdemeanor and felony jury trials. Matthew is licensed to practice in

    Colorado and before the U.S. District Court of Colorado. He is a member of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, the

    Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, and the Colorado Bar Association. Since 2013 he has been a member of the

    CBAs Solo and Small Firm Section Council.

    Phil J. Shuey

    Phil is Chair Elect of the Colorado Bar Association Solo/Small Firm Section, Past Chair of the Law Practice

    Management Section of the American Bar Association as well as an Inaugural Fellow of the College of Law Practice

    Management. He is a five time Chair of the ABAsTECHSHOW and has been a speaker at fifteen ABA TECHSHOW

    conferences. He has served on two ABA Presidents Advisory Committees. He has served as Chair of the LPMs New

    Media and Internet Board, Vice Chair of the Futurists Committee, and is a past member of the ABAsStandingCommittee of Technology and Information Systems (SCOTIS). He is President and CEO of Shuey Robinson, an

    international change management and technology consulting group. His professional practice is split between

    consulting and general law practice. He received his B.A. from the University of Colorado, and a J.D. from the

    University of Denver College of Law. He has taught at the University of Colorado School of Law and at the University

    of Denver College of Law. He has written for many publications, including the National Law Journal, the New York

    Law Journal, Legal Economics, Law Practice Management, The Compleat/Complete Lawyer, The Practical Lawyer, Law

    Technology News, The Colorado Lawyer and various state and local bar publications, and has been quoted in the

    American Bar Association Journal, MSNBC, The Denver Post, The New York Post, The Denver Business Journal and the

    Wall Street Journal. He has lectured regularly for the American Bar Association and at over 50 state and local bar

    associations, throughout the United States and Canada. He was the keynote speaker for the 2000 Canadian Bar

    Association Annual Meeting. He serves as General Counsel and a Board member for the Colorado Grand, a 501

    charity event, and is a licensed National Steward for the Sports Car Club of America.

    Reba J. Nance

    Reba Nance is the Director of Law Practice Management and Risk Management for the Colorado Bar Association.

    She has been with the CBA for 19 years. A frequent presenter on such topics as law practice management, legal

    technology, risk management, and malpractice prevention, Reba has spoken at legal conferences around the U.S. and

    Canada. She is very active in the ABA's Law Practice Management section and is a past Chair of the American Bar

    Associations TECHSHOW, the worlds largest legal technology conference. Just prior to her work at the Bar, Ms.

    Nance served as the Attorney Recruiting Coordinator for several large Denver law firms. She has also served as a law

    firm accounting manager, office administrator, and virtually every other staff position within a law firm. Reba is a

    former President of the Denver Chapter of the National Association for Law Placement. A former educator, Reba has

    a B.A. in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Psychology, graduating with High Honors from San Diego State

    University. She also received Elementary and Special Education teaching credentials from San Diego State. In aprevious life, she taught elementary school and worked with gifted as well as learning disabled children.
