Something that Lasts

(Proverbs 3:5-6) Trust in the LORD with all

your heart and lean not on your own understanding; {6} in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

(Proverbs 16:20) …blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.

(Proverbs 28:25) ...he who trusts in the LORD will prosper.

(Proverbs 29:25) Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.

STAGE 1 - FAITHFUL PARENTING (Proverbs 22:6) Train a child

in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

STAGE 2 – LEARNING RESPECT (Proverbs 30:11) "There are those who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers;

STAGE 3 – MAKING GODLY CHOICES (Proverbs 23:19) Listen, my son, and be wise, and keep your heart on the right path.

STAGE 4 – HUMILITY TO KEEP LEARNING (Proverbs 23:22-24) Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old. {23} Buy the truth and do not sell it; get wisdom, discipline and understanding. {24} The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him.

The Making of a Godly Legacy

Our Righteousness brings family stability

(Proverbs 12:7) Wicked men are overthrown and are no more, but the house of the righteous stands firm.

 Our Worship brings family security (Proverbs 14:26) He who fears the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge.

 Honesty and contentment avoids family trouble (Proverbs 15:27) A greedy man brings trouble to his family, but he who hates bribes will live.

 Righteous living brings blessing to your children (Proverbs 20:7) The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him.
