Have you ever been to a zoo? What did you see?

When most children go to a zoo, they want to see….

a very, very big…..

or a very, very fierce…..

But what if one day, mommy said to Phia and Simeon, “Would you like togo to a magical zoo?”

Phia would probably ask, “What’s a magical zoo, mommy?” Simeon wouldjust sit there smiling and waiting for mom’s answer.

Mommy might say, “Well, a magical zoo is not what you might expect. Itis somewhere the animals play tricks on you. Let’s go look at what youmight see in a magical zoo.”

To The Zoo

So, mommy, Phia and Simeon went to the magical zoo while their daddyworked really hard at his job. He wished he could have gone too.

When mommy, Phia and Simeon got to the zoo, here is the first animalthey saw.

What is it? What makes this animal different?

Next, mommy took Phia and Sim into thebird part of the zoo.

Do you recognize this bird?

Is it different than the birds you see outsideyour house?

How is it different?

“Oh look, mommy,” said Phia excitedly. “I see a dog,” she said, then

stopped with a puzzled look on her face.

There was something differentabout this dog.

“What’s different, Phia?” hermother asked.

“Would you like to see anotherdog?”

This time, Simeon nodded hishead up and down. He could nottalk yet but he understood a lot.

So away they went to the next cage and here is what they saw:

Some people might call this a sheep dog.Would they be correct?

“Are there any animals from where Nanagrew up, mommy?” asked Sophia. “Whyyes, Phia, I think there are two from Australia. Let’s go look.”

“Are there any magical dogs, mommy?” asked Phia. Mommy took Phiaand Simeon’s hands and walked into another part of the zoo.

“Oh look, mommy,” said Phia excitedly. “I see a dog,” she said, then

stopped with a puzzled look on her face.
