The Society’s Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon, Maipo 2012 We are very proud of this superior cabernet from Chile’s best region for this variety, the Maipo Valley. Torres Santa Digna Curicó Merlot 2013Miguel Torres were an early pioneer in Chile and their wines show a lovely balance of fruit and oak-matured �avours, and the high quality of the fruit bene�ts from a little bottle age to develop the complexity. Faldeos Nevados Malbec 2013Malbec is Argentina’s trump card and this example, made by Susanna Balbo (voted Woman of the Year 2015 by The Drinks Business), is friendly on both palate and pocket, reverberating with vibrant blueberry fruit whilst remaining both satisfyingly fresh and seamlessly balanced. 14% The 2014 follows. ref AM-AR3051 £7.95 bottle £95 dozen

Villard Expresión Casablanca Syrah 2013Thierry Villard says that Chile’s warm, dry climate and the wonderful ripe, healthy grapes it produces make him the envy of his winemaking friends back in his native France. Mendel Mendoza Malbec 2013This Argentine malbec comes from a vineyard planted in 1928 in the Mayor Drummond area of Mendoza, near Lunlunta. 2013 was another �ne and cool year giving an intense �oral, scented nose and a medium-bodied, refreshing palate of considerable elegance.
