Forward ChaseLang is leading the club in scoring with 37 points in 45 gameson 15 goals and 22 assists including an overtime-winning goal on Friday night to beat Greenville. Forward Mike Hedden is second on the team with 30 points in 35 games, while Brendan Warren and Emerson Clark have each scored 22 points. Goaltender Adam Carlson has played the most games of any netminder for the Icemen this season, posting a record of 13-10-2.

All-Time History vs. Jacksonville Sunday’s contest is the sixth matchup of the 2019-20 seasonbetween South Carolina and Jacksonville and the 26th meetingoverall since the Icemen began play in the South Divisionduring the 2017-18 season. After seeing each other 10 times inJacksonville’s first campaign, the rivals faced-off for another 10total matchups last season. The Rays were victorious in seven ofthe contests between the two in 2017-18, but had their fortunesreversed in 2018-19, losing eight of the 10 meetings. In 2019-20the clubs play a total of eight games against each other.

Wittchow Looking Strong In Return Defender Ed Wittchow was reassigned to South Carolina by the Hershey Bears on Thursday and has been a force on the blueline for the Stingrays in his first two outings since returning to the club. Despite not factoring into the scoring during Friday’s win, Wittchow was noticibly strong carrying the puck and playing a shut down defensive game. Then on Saturday, he had the first assist on Cole Ully’s second period goal before converting on a breakaway in overtime for his fourth goal of the season which gave SC the victory.

Ully Hits 40-Point Mark With Impressive Outing Forward Cole Ully was impressive during Saturday night’s win over Greenville, registering three points with a goal and two assists in the overtime victory. The Calgary, Alberta native batted a puck out of the air and into the net during the second period for South Carolina’s first goal, then assisted on captain Andrew Cherniwchan’s tying marker in the second period before setting defenseman Eddie Wittchow free on a breakaway for the game-winner in overtime. Overall on the season, Ully has collected 40 points in 42 games on nine goals and 31 assists. His assist total leads all South Carolina skaters this season.

Bindy Coming Up Big Defenseman Kristofers Bindulis had a season-high three points in the 9-1 win over Norfolk on Wednesday night, scoring a goal and assisting on two others. Both of his helpers came on goals by Branden Troock in the opening period, while his fourth goal of the season closed the scoring for the Rays in the final minutes of action. He followed that performance up with another goal on Friday in a win over Adirondack and has now scored points in eight of his last 10 games. Overall, Bindulis has 17 points on five goals and 12 assists.
