Irrespective of Weight and complexity of arrangements all lifting

works shall meet the requirements of lifting procedure to prevent

associated hazards. A qualified lifting supervisor shall be assigned to

ensure crane operators carry out their duty safely and adequate

inspection and maintenance of equipment has been carried out. He

shall review the third party certificates for the crane and lifting gears.

He must also ensure that an approved lifting plan is place and color

coding of slings hackles and tools are done.
