The Captain spots an anomaly and in a desperate attempt tostay alive, they end up traveling through a random wormholethat sends them to an unknown and uncharted (Milky-Way)galaxy. The Mort ship has also followed them through thewormhole and are still mercilessly attacking. The scout-shiptries to evade the Mort from a losing dog-fight and ends upcrash-landing on to the only place able to sustain life forthem, a small green and blue unknown and out-of-the-wayplanet (Earth).

The Black-Bloods ship is somewhat damaged but mostlyfunctional. The Spectrum Scout is badly damaged but may berepairable, if the parts can somehow be re-manufactured.

The Spectrum scouts have now miraculously found the lost raceof red-bloods by sheer chance but the many problems they nowencounter make everything they sought and hoped for; seem animpossible dream, one that may never come to fruition.

The spectrum scouts; to survive, must assimilate into the red-bloods society in the hope to repair their ship and find away home, to send word to the Spectrum High Command, that thelost race of red-bloods are now no longer lost, but perhapsalso not-so revered as was first thought.

Meanwhile, the Mort try to kill-off the marooned scouts tostop the possibility of Spectrum-Unity. If the red-bloods ofUr-th do link up with Spectrum High Command and re-instilunity, then the Black-Bloods lose power, might and currencywhich for them, means their end of Galactic rule.

Aided by some friendly Ur-th red-bloods, the Spectrum scoutstry to fit-in and understand all that is going on, on Earth.Life isn't easy, when Earth Government forces try tointervene, the black-bloods also attack and all the heroicyoung scouts want is only to go home, a home that is now too-many light years beyond them, a place they may never get backto, ever!

Crew Dynamic: All Scout-crew are young (late teen, earlytwenties), each have 'powers' or attributes to make themvaluable as a team-member.

This will help endear them to the young teen as well as the

older 'die-hard' sci-fi fans.

The black-Blood Mort are fearsome, evil, dark, gothic typecharacters who strike fear into the hearts of the pure.Dressed in black leather, long dread-locks, pale skin, rottenteeth, they invoke fear by sight and trade on that fear.

Though the pilot will require some specialized computer CGIeffects, the weekly episodes will be far less involved beingset on rural landscapes, farms and cities. The huge successof Smallville, Stargate and Battlestar Galactica prove thatthese effects can be done in an on-going capacity with a

realistic look and be dramatically engaging.

Television Series Treatment / Preliminary Script for

Spectrum S01E01

Pilot Episode:

Serendipity.

SCENE 1. INT. COCKPIT HASSAH. DAY.

Out in the dark reaches of space, amid random stars andplanets, we find a small white blip off in the distance.Approaching in a gentle arc, we circle and enter thecockpit/helm of a small spaceship. The ship is sign-writtenSpectrum scout-ship "Hassah".

In the seat sits copilot Jurn and he resets the system

scanner for the next long-range scanner sweep, just like somany scans done before. The computer system reports that thestar-cluster they are near and scanning doesn't hold anysuitable planets able to sustain human life; but followingprotocol, he performs a deep-scan nonetheless.

JURNWhat a fracking waste of time!

Jurn sighs, shaking his head and looking tired as he staresout the port bow of the scout's window; staring aimlesslyinto the cold, dark, empty void of space. A gentle hand on

his shoulder makes him smile. Jurn doesnt look up as heholds the slender female hand and pats it affectionately.Alexis, the scout's medical officer channels a glowing violetenergy through her touch, making Jurn glow iridescent violetas he takes her healing energy. He chuckles, glad for thebreak from the monotony.

JURNThanks Alexis, but Im alright.You neednt waste your energy onme.

The computer bleeps and a virtual HUD screen flashes. Jurn

again sighs as he sees the system report -"No Life SignsDetected." He swipes the virtual screen aside.

Alexis wistfully smiles as she wraps her arms around Jurn'sneck, kissing him on the cheek.

ALEXISI know. But I havent had to healanyone in like forever and if Idont channel it into someone,well, it tends to frizzle mywiring, if you know what I mean.

Jurn nods as he resets the system and programs the scout tojump to the next star system. He wipes his mouth infrustration at the constant fruitless searching for nothing.

JURNYeah. (sigh) No surprises there,the outer Danyin System shows nolife signs detected... surprised?Not! - You know, maybe the reasonwe havent found them is thatthey really dont exist anymore.Maybe the Black Bloods really didwipe them out like they say.

Another male voice from behind Alexis makes her smile andturn around. Kraal, the ship's captain, quietly walks up andtakes the helm next to Jurn.

KRAALStop that Jurn! We have tobelieve in the High Command. Ifthey say the Red Bloods exist,then they exist! The SpiritGuides prophesied it.

Jurn grimaces out the window, looking sullen.

JURNYeah, right.

Kraal adjusts settings on the control board, busyinghimself with screens on the HUD.

KRAALThe High Command wouldnt havesent us out if the black bloodshad wiped them out, it would be acomplete waste of time. TheSpirit Guides have foretold ofmany great things and have neverbeen wrong before, they wont bewrong this time either!

Jurn scowls and then sarcastically smiles as Kraal looks himin the eye.

JURNFine Kraal, youre never wrong!

Kraal smirks as he looks over the control board.

KRAALSarcasm doesn't work well for youJurn. - Look, I get it that thisconstant searching is a giant

pain the butt, but we have to bethorough.

What if we missed a sign that thered-bloods may have been hereonce and we missed it? Can youreally imagine; from the entireSpectrum fleet of scouts, thechance that we could be theones to actually find the losttribe of Ur-th?

Jurn leans back in his seat, hands behind his head as hesighs a wistful sigh.

JURNAs if! There's thousands of scoutships out looking for them, allacross the known universe.Thousands of scouts doingthousands of searches just likeus, for nothing! (Sigh) I know, I

know, you're probably right, butwhat about this, what if the losttribe actually wants to staylost? What if they left Spectrumway-back-when for a real reasonand don't want to be reunified atall?'

Alexis shakes her head.

ALEXISI can't see it, when we were one

and unified, all tribesflourished under Spectrumprotection. The universe lived inrapture under peace and love formany millennia. Why would theywant to remain alone andfragmented and weak when trueunity gives us all our strength?That just makes no sense!

Kraal nods, thinking of happier times... He flicks the HUDaway and focuses on the crew.

KRAALYeah, Hmm You know my great-grandfather knew of stories thathis great-grandfather had toldhim. How people lived in harmonywithout fear. When the SpectrumHigh Command had delivered an ageof peace and near-unstoppableforce of goodness throughout thegalaxy. When the White Knightsprotected us all! No more fear orrunning from black-bloods. No

more slavery, no more fighting.

Another quiet voice, makes Jurn and Alexis look back toSharna who gingerly steps up into view.

SHARNAI just hope we don't run into anyblack-bloods out here right now.Finding the lost tribe or not,there's no one this far-out onthe outer rim to help save usthen, we'd be doomed to lifelongslavery on some fracking black-blood sweat-freighter or putridmining colony churning outminerals for the Dark Regent'scoffers, well, no thank you!

Jurn scoffs and grins, mocking Sharna.

JURNYou yellow-blooded Kowardian areso scared! Youre even afraid ofyour own shadow, Hah! I bet youcould use some of my powerfulblue blood right now, harden yousofties up a little!

Sharna scorns Jurn with an angry stare.

SHARNAFrack you Jurn! My mother and

Father were both slaves on a beta-mine and the horrors I have seenin their memories is enough toput anyone off their food for avery long time. Come back andtalk to me when you've seen andfelt what I have, you jerk!

Kraal turns around in his seat as the Hassah jumps back intostarburst, headed for the next star-cluster. The glimmer ofstarburst lights flash and streak past the cockpit window.

KRAAL

Alright, alright! Let's keepsmiling people, we have to staypositive. Jurn, shut your bigmouth right now before I reallystart to put you into my cross-hairs! Save your anger for thesparring circle and work it outthere. If you want to shoot yourmouth off, you do it there,understand?

Jurn grins at kraal.

JURNOoh, you and me,anytime big-boy,you just tell me when, I'll be inthe circle, protectives on oroff, I really couldn't care!

Kraal smirks, giving Jurn a sideways stare as he adjusts thesystems controls.

KRAALProtectives stay on, so says thelaw! If I hear of anyone joustingwithout protectives I will reportthem directly to the High Commandfor disciplinary action, do Imake myself clear?

Jurn sneers.

JURNWhatever!

Kraal quells the obvious insubordination.

KRAALDO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?

JURNPerfectly.

KRAALPerfectly what?

Jurn replies looking angrily defeated.

JURNPerfectly Captain!

Kraal hasnt finished with his dressing-down yet, giving Jurna stern rebuke.

KRAALAnd the next time you address me

on the con, you stand toattention when you do so, until Iput you at ease, do youunderstand me staff-sergeant?

Jurn responds in an angry military bark.

JURNSir, yes Sir!

Kraal softens his gaze and sighs.

KRAALI know Im too easy on you lot.There seems to be a lack ofrespect for each other lately andthats got to stop! Come on guys,look, we're stuck out here in theback-reaches of nowhere, and, andI know this totally bites Thinkof this, there's almost no-one inrecorded history that is goingout as far as us beyond the outerrim. If anyone can do it, we allcan, as one, to bring unity backto life.

Alexis bites her finger-nail.

ALEXIS

But theres so many other scoutssearching, all with more time onthe clock than us. Theyll bemore likely to find the redbloods if anyone can.

Kraal continues to try to bolster their spirits.

KRAALOK, so what? Yeah, we might beone of the youngest and freshestcrews from the Academy but we

have to work together, to makethis hell-hole of a mission alittle more bearable. Come on,let's go and get some food seeingas its about dinner time. I hearLovah has made us a Tigerian mashfor our meal. Let's go and eat.The next scan won't be till latertonight anyway.

SHARNACool, Im starving! Whos coming?

Alexis smiles. She takes Sharna in one arm and Kraal inanother and channels more healing violet energy into them,they all glow violet as they walk off the bridge and out thehatch to the hallway. Jurn nods and sighs, looking out thewindow one last time before following them. It's just anotherday, like so many others before to the crew and the monotonyand fatigue is evident in their attitude and faces.

SCENE 2. INT. DINING ROOM. DAY.

Inside the dining area, Bart and Toby are sitting at thedinner table, they have plates of food that looks like aslimy green mess over what might once have been mashedpotatoes. Lovah peers around the corner at the others comingin and takes more plates to the table. He grins at them inanticipation of them enjoying his meal.

LOVAHAh, about time! I was going tohave to put it back in thecooker but, seeing as you arefinally here!

Jurn walks in last and pulls up a seat, he sniffs eagerly atthe plate and licks his lips.

JURNLovah, my man, you are the bestcook in this part of the galaxyby far!

Lovah smiles as he gets himself a plate and sits down withthem.

LOVAHHigh praise indeed. But, I guessIm probably the only cook in

this entire part of the galaxy,so there's not that muchcompetition really.

Kraal chuckles as he stands and bows his head, leading thecrew in a blessing for their meal.

KRAALElohim, May you, the Great SpiritGuides of lore, direct us to thelost tribe of Ur-th, may therainbow of blood we all sharefinally flow into one. May our

blessed food that we arefortunate to eat keep us wholeand may our hearts beat strong.May the Lords of Spectrum shinetheir love and protection over usnow and for always. OKpeople...Let's eat!

Kraal sits. Everyone eats dinner with much enjoyment.

Alexis chews a mouthful of food while thinking.

Toby shakes his head with a grin.

TOBYMy floater is out of bounds toyou little sister. It just gottuned and you are NOT riding it!Besides, it's now print coded soyou will need my palm-print tostart it and that'll only happenwhen you cut my hand off, trustme. We can play for fun, and fun

only but no serious gambling!

Alexis grins, knowingly.

ALEXISPff! I figured you would be tooscared. Bart, you up for a bit ofaction? You got anything towager?

Bart grins, nodding with a sly smile.

BARTSure, I'll bet a week's messclean-up and a week's steam-roomduties against your credits.

Alexis nods, considering the offer.

ALEXISMake it two and we got a deal!

Bart thinks it over.

Fine, we got a deal. Yin's up inone hour, don't be late!

Kraal nods thoughtfully, joining in on the action.

KRAALYou know, I have a case ofLeechen that is almost threeyears old andhas been stored inthe heat for the better part of ayear!

KRAALNo, straight up! That's worth ahelluva lot more than what yousoft-lot are betting, but, seeingas I'm such a generous man andkindly Captain, I'll put that upfor Yin-tang if you gamblers feellike losing to the best Yinnerthis side of the Metro-pole.

Jurn grins.

JURNWow, Now youre talking, thismight get interesting, ok, I'min. Ill find something in myrack to throw in. Im outacredits but Im sure I got

something hidden away.

Alexis smiles wistfully.

ALEXISToby, Sharna was just talkingabout the plight of her parents.Can you maybe show us somethingof the memories you hold?Sharna's memory-feed isn't quiteas strong as yours.

Toby hesitantly nods, he puts down his fork and smiles wanlyas he shifts in his seat. He replies, pointing to his head.

TOBYSure, but be warned, it's verysad and dark in here.

Everyone closes their eyes as Toby focuses his thoughts. Tobyglows with a soft pink aura. He broadcasts the memory hewishes to relive out to all present so that everyone is drawninto his memory as if they are all present in a group-shared-dream. He relives the memory he holds from someone else asthey sit at the dinner table while seeing the actual events

in their mind's eye. They are in the memory and eachexperience the memory as if it were their own.

The room in the memory is the meeting hall from the oldSpectrum circle. It is a huge round official building thathas a large central table which is circular and is broken intwo. Dust and dirt cover the table and the overturned chairsand floor. Dirty torn banners of varying colors hanghaphazardly around the room.

Toby's mind thinks out loud.

TOBY (V.O.)This is the Spectrum Circle wherethe High Council used to convenefor unity. See, the chairs werecolored for all the blood colors,the Kowardian yellow, TheJahdites green blood, the pinkblooded Femen sat here... andthese red seats over here, iswhere the Ur-th tribe sat, thoseelusive red-bloods we still seek

Alexis sighs. Sharna swallows and then asks out loud.

SHARNACan you show us before the fall,before unity was lost, when theUr-th were one with us all and

the council convened?

Toby smiles, eyes closed as he finds the memories within him.The scene suddenly changes, the round table is suddenly wholeand clean, the room is pristine and the colored chairs looknear-new, the banners hang straight and are new looking.Seated around the table, councillors and official lookingpeople sit and debate things of importance. Even the blackseats are filled.

Kraal winces as he relives the memory from Toby.

KRAALThe Black Blooded traitors areseated at the Unity table! ...How close is this to the GreatFall?

Toby keeps his focus on the memory as he speaks aloud.Everyone stays in the memory, fascinated by the historythey are reliving. They see what happened, many millenniaago.

TOBY (V.O.)Just prior, the Unity circle was

voting to allow freedom of tradefor the Candovian Empire, thebill had been ratified right uptill the begin date. No-one knewthat the Black-bloods were aboutto rebel and pull the plug on theUnity pact by disbanding theSpectrum Circle. It was the Ur-thpeople who championed theCandovian Empire and fought sohard for their freedom of trade.

See, here Sartania, thecouncillor for the Mort peopleforces the vote back toarbitration, naturally the Urare furious and demand action.See, Now the planned invasiontakes place, the Mort BlackWarriors infiltrate the building,they slaughter most of the highcouncil All the blood colors areforced to scatter to corners ofthe universe to hide. The Ur-thtribe also escaped and left on astar-ship that had been modified,they must have sensed somethingwas up for the route they tookwas cloaked beyond anyone'sability to trace them. Then theBlack-bloods declared themselves

Sovereign rulers and made unityillegal and punishable by bydeath

The room dissolves into an outdoor setting where loads ofpeople run helter-skelter as Black-cloaked warriorsmercilessly shoot anyone with laser guns and slash at peoplewith laser swords. Toby continues to speak in his memorywhile the memory unfolds.

TOBY (V.O.)These memories are from the Grand

Chancellor, right till the timehe is maimed and almost killed.This was the last time the Highcouncil would hold a session forover five thousand years. Everytime a new council would secretlyform, the black-bloods wouldinfiltrate somehow and kill themembers off. For over tenthousand years the Mort Empireand Tyronius Faction have unifiedthe black-bloods into the evilforce that we know them of,

murderers, slave-drivers, brutalthugs who have no right to beruling the galaxy like this So,all the blood colors successfullyfled to separate parts of theuniverse to hide. Hide or beexterminated or enslaved. Thatwas the only options for our fore-fathers back then. Not that muchhas changed really, were stillin the same way today, running,hiding or fighting.

Kraal opens his eyes and swallows.

KRAALToby, thanks for re-living thispreciously sad memory. You see,people, this is why we need tofind the Ur-th and reunify theSpectrum Circle. This is why itsso important to be doing the dullold searching in places wherethere is no logical reason toexpect to find them. But we MUSTbe thorough! The only chance wehave at standing up to the black-

bloods at all is when the circleis complete. Then, our power willmatch theirs, maybe even bestronger, who knows. - For nowToby, how about you show us ahappier time, when unity wasworking well, something a littlehappier to finish our meal on, ifyou don't mind?

Toby nods opening his eyes briefly to smile at Kraal. Hecloses his eyes once more and thinks a happier memory for

them all.

TOBY (V.O.)Sure. This is a very old memory,when the Spectrum Elite WhiteKnights guarded and protectedall. When everyone was at peaceand no one ever considered thingsas terrible and horrific as whatthe black-bloods would do

The memory scene shifts and becomes an outdoor park wherefamilies sit and have picnics, children play, fathers hug

their daughters and mothers revel in their sons playinggames. The sky is a tan-brown color and the grass is blue.Blue leafy trees sway in the gentle breeze. White robed menguard the area with sheathed weapons and everyone is joyouslyhappy.

All-of-a-sudden, the scene is abruptly cut short by anexplosion somewhere on-board the Hassah that rocks the ship,making Toby stop remembering the happier memory.

Plates fly off the table and crash to the floor as everyonelooks shocked and alarmed as they try to not fall from their

seats.

Overhead, a red-alert light and siren begin to flash/wail.

Kraal is one of the first to jump to his feet.

KRAALAction stations, Jurn, with me!Lovah, man the guns! Alexis, healthe ship if you can! MOVEpeople!'

Everyone runs and takes action accordingly.

SCENE 3. INT. HASSAH COCKPIT. DAY.

Kraal and Jurn run for the helm to take evasive action andassess the situation. As they sit, Jurn takes the controlfrom Auto-pilot and shifts to manual controls.

Kraal swipes through virtual screens, he examines the HUDthat is in front of him blinking red for all the damage thathas happened to parts of the ship.

Another explosion rocks them.

He flicks the virtual-screen aside and brings up the battle-con and sees a single Black-blood Viper flying past theirhelm very close-by from the outside window's view.

Another explosion rocks the Scout and the Hassah is near-

powerless as it momentarily flounders in space. Lights go outand then blink several times as power is affected.

Kraal barks instructions over the intercom. He flicks betweenBattle Con and Damage Report screens as he talks.

KRAALIt's a fracking Viper, only onebut one's all it takes. Sit-Rep:Jump drive is down, FTL driveoffline life support - holding.Damn-it, we have a hull breach inthe rear bulkhead, we're venting

O2 into space Alexis, get thathealed as soon as you can, Peta,help Alexis on the welder, wecan't lose too much gas this farout. Lovah, bogey; inboundforward-elevation sixteen o'clockhigh, in three, two, one, mark!

SCENE 4. INT. REAR GUNNERY. DAY.

At the scout's rear, Lovah quickly sits and straps himselfinto the rear turret. He is hanging out over the rear of theship in a spherical ball in space and angrily grins as hemans the rear guns, manually engaging and aiming the hugedouble canons either side of him. His helmet controls thepitch and yaw of the ball while his hands control the firingand weapons selection. He looks up and following his helmetedgaze, the ball he sits in lifts like a scorpions tail toallow the guns to aim and fire at the enemy.

LOVAHOK, I see him, come to me youblack blooded piece of

The Hassah returns fire at the enemy Viper, the protective

shields around the Viper glow brightly and get progressivelyweaker as they absorb the damaging multiple laser bursts fromthe Hassahs barrage. Lovah is bounced left and right fromthe concussion blasts of the huge guns he fires, his facesmiling as he is lit up by the laser-canon fire. FollowingLovahs gaze of the moving Viper, the scorpion tail-ballspins around and under the Hassah to track the enemy, Lovahis now inverted and still targeting the Viper.

SCENE 5. INT. HASSAH COCKPIT. DAY.

Back inside the helm, Jurn struggles to evade their attack.

JURNHow the hell did they find us outhere, we were in starburst foranother hour at least?

Kraal nods, channelling off sections of the scout to minimizethe oxygen escaping. He tries to re-route more power to theengines and shields.

KRAALI heard on the grapevine last

month that they have a newability to track ships travelingthrough starburst and interceptthem if they are within range. Iwas hoping it was just a lie butit seems maybe they really can dothis.

Jurn struggles with the controls as the scout takes anotherhit. He puts the ship into a corkscrew-barrel roll, trying toevade the onslaught from the Viper. It saves them being hitby laser bursts from the Viper but makes Lovahs job of

targeting the Viper near-impossible.

JURNShields dropping to fail-safeprotocols, if we take a few morehits like that then it's allover! We need more frackingpower!

Kraal nods, flicking the screen back to outside view.

KRAALIt's about as good as it's gonnaget till we can get the ship's O2breach healed. It's draining toomuch power to not rupture thehull with decompression till weget her healed! Frack! Alexis,Peta! Heal that breach, NOW!

ALEXIS (V.O.)Were working on it as quick aswe can!

Kraal sees a sudden blip on screen and sees a glimmer ofhope.

KRAALLook, over there, make for thatanomaly on the screen, it mightjust buy us some time!

Jurn's eyes bulge.

JURNThat's probably a Black-hole, a,a singularity! It, it's suckingeverything into it, we, we mightnot make it out it could totallycrush us, this is not a goodidea!

Kraal nods.

KRAAL

Understood, but that's an order,get us there, hopefully the Viperwill bug-out and leave us alone.

Jurn shakes his head but complies with the order. Kraal opensthe comms channel.

KRAALLovah, we need to hit that Viperwith everything we got, can youperform any miracles?'

Slovah crackles over the comms.

LOVAHI got no cannons left, lasers atcritical, rail-gunsmalfunctioning no power, there'snuthin much I can do

Another explosion rocks the Hassah as Jurn pushes themtowards the blip on the screen that the system is indicatingto be avoided at all costs.

JURNLast chance to pull away. Sensorscan't evaluate the gravitationalpull on the singularity, thiscould be the end

Kraal nods.

KRAALAnother blast up the backsidefrom that Viper and it will beall over regardless. Let's prayto the Lords of White they pullaway in time.

The scout begins to shake and shudder with ever-increasingamounts of pressure from the singularity. Every imaginablelight begins to blink and beep as the pressure begins tobecome enormous on the hull of the scout. Jurn struggles toretain control. Kraal assists Jurn with little success.

JURNThey aint bugging out!

KRAALCome one... Frack off!

As the Hassah approaches the event horizon of the anomaly, anelectrical field opens up and swallows the scout like ahungry moray eel attacking prey.

They are suddenly travelling inside a wormhole that is like aroller coaster ride from hell. All sensors are offline inside

the wormhole and they spin and tumble in a snakelike cylinder-ribbon.

Kraal and Jurn look at one-another with alarmed, worriedexpressions as they have no idea what is going to happen andare powerless to do anything about it.

Lightning like plasma-energy strikes the ship. The enginesand control boards short and go dead as they tumble throughthe spacial anomaly.

As they finally exit, being spewed out in space, the Hassah

rolls silently, its residual movement carrying it onwards.Kraal restarts the dead control panel.

The Hassah jerks as Lovah begins to fire the super-powerfulrail guns at the Viper. The Hassah now tips and yaws as itfloats like a dead fish in a deep ocean.

The Viper also restarts its engines and begins to targetthem once more.

Kraal grins angrily as the Hassah floats dead in space andjerk-wobbles from the rail-guns. The scout's scanners showthat the Viper's shields are low and near-failing as well.

KRAALLovah, youre almost there! Jurn,try to punch the pulse enginesbut only to avoid a direct hit,

dont waste any power unless youhave too! Keep to evasivemanoeuvres, we can't afford totake another shot but we needLovah to keep firing. I'mscanning for anywhere that mightlook like we can hide, if wesomehow make it

Kraal shunts all remaining power from pulse thrusters, thenlastly he disarms life-support, he flicks the jump drive onand anxiously waits.

Outside, the oxygen is instantly sucked out into space asthe lack of life support and shields no longer stop thedecompression of the ship.

Milli-seconds now are like hours as they stare at thecontrol board.

The dead Jump-drive light on the board blinks, once, twice...

JURNCome on...

The jump drive finally lights up! They have enough power toget the Jump Drive working! Kraal smacks the jump-drive

button.

The Hassah disappears in a hot white light, just as the Viperwas about to make its final side-on kill-shot. The lasercannon-fire from the Viper just goes through empty space asthe Hassah disappears.

The Hassah reappears in the turbulent outer atmosphere of thesmall green-blue planet and Kraal struggles to engage shieldswith enough power to the forward-shields. The ship lights upwith fire around the nose as it hurtles into the planet'satmosphere at a too-fast rate. The jump has taxed the power-

hungry systems greatly and hope is dwindling.

Lights and buzzers scream at Kraal as he tries to keep theship from burning up and Jurn struggles to fly with theatmospheric pressures on the failing ship's hull. Kraal cantget life-support back online. The light wont engage...

They begin to cork-screw spin out of control...

The forward- shields blink and then fail on the front-screenand the windows blow in showering Kraal and Jurn with cloudand rain and night-time scariness. Its impossible to see andreact well with the tremendous wind pressure and cloud

showering into the cockpit. Simple movement is now incrediblytaxing to both men.

An out-of-control crash landing seems all they can hope fornow

Amidst the rush or wind, air, cloud and confusion, Kraalmanages to bring up the virtual screen of his HUD, he triesto scan for the best place to crash-land, they are nearing aforested area of land that is not the ideal situation.

Jurn struggles with the controls. He somehow gets the ship tostop its vomit-inducing barrel roll.

JURNReverse thrust, we need reversethrust!

Kraal shakes his head, trying to assist on the controls.Another explosion rocks the ship.

KRAALRev-t offline! Damn-it! Allhands, all hands, brace forimpact were going down were goingdown were going down!

The Hassah snaps through a few tall trees. Branches break andshower the crew. The Hassah crests a hill before hitting the

ground hard, carving a huge crevice into a field as afarmer's cornfield gets suddenly prematurely ploughed by thespaceship. The intermittently failing ship's shields light upfrom the impact and the Hassah does its best to protectitself from major damage as it is buried long and deep intothe dirt of the cornfield.

Inside the cockpit, the sudden deceleration winds theoccupants who are stunned and cut but miraculously notseriously hurt. They are covered in dirt, branches anddebris. They are unconscious but alive.

An eerie silence is broken only by wind blowing through thecockpit as lights blink, sparks shoot out from randomplaces.

Alexis eventually enters the helm and she staggers over andplaces her healing hands on Jurn and Kraal, they reenergizeand slowly regain consciousness. They get up from the helm,glad to be alive but stunned from the traumatic experience.The superficial cuts they had on their faces and hands areinstantly healed by Alexis's purple healing energy.

SCENE 5. EXT. CORNFIELD. NIGHT.

Kraal opens the exit hatch on the side of Hassah, the doorhisses open and the crew warily exit the ship. They look upand see the strange stars in the night sky.

The cornfield around them is all pushed over, there is dirt,electrical sparks and smoke all around, the ships lightingmakes an eerie effect on the night as the crew look aboutthis strange and unknown planet.

KRAALWhere is Peta, Cheen and Rena?

Jurn looks at Kraal, they both leap back into the ship.

SCENE 6. INT. HASSAH STERN. NIGHT.

Kraal soon finds the bodies of Cheena and Rena, lying in apool of green blood. They are both dead. A large hole in theside of the Hassah is evidence of the fight they justendured. Shrapnel is wedged into the corpses, they never hada chance... Jurn finds him crouching over the bodies, tryingto make sense of how this came to be.

JURNOh no...What about Peta?

Jurn asks, seeing the corpses. Kraal shakes his head.

KRAALI dont know. Gods, I dont knowwhere she is! You sure she isntin the galley or steam room?

JURNNo, I looked. Checked the racks

too. Shes not here.

Kraal looks up at Jurn. They both feel the emotion. Jurnlooks away, wiping his weary brow.

KRAALDamn-it!, Come on, lets go.


Kraal and Jurn exit the ship. Everyone looks anxiously atthem.

ALEXISWell...Did you find them?

Kraal shakes his head, delivering the sad news.

KRAALCheena and Rena are, are dead.Peta is missing... presumed dead.

Jurn walks away, angrily looking over the exterior of theship, he looks at Kraal with anxious eyes.

take a lot of time. I suggest weseek refuge right away as theBlack bloods will be out to huntus down any minute. Out here,we're fairly easy targets.

Kraal nods in agreement, looking over the scout.

KRAALYeah, I think you're right. Wecan heal internal parts of theship gradually but others willneed a re-fit and that will take

some doing.

JURNI doubt there will be a spacedock anywhere here. The Hassahdidnt pick up any beacons beforewe hit. Did you get in a scanbefore we crashed?

Kraal shields his eyes from the headlights and sees the faceof a young woman in the car.

KRAALWell at least this planet isinhabited, that's great news! Idon't know though, it seems to bean odd type of transport, there'ssomeone inside. Stay here! I willgo and speak to her.

Kraal steps over towards the farm truck as the woman turnsthe engine off. She seems young, amazed and excited.

Overhead, the earth-shaking rumble of the Viper makeseveryone look up as it breaks into the lower atmosphere,drawing everyone's fearful gaze. The Viper is smoking,leaving a large vapor trail as it tries to not crash land

into the field.

Remarkably, it seems to bounce off the land over the ridgeand take flight once more before coming down into a much-lesser crash landing off in the far distance.

The woman gets out of the farm truck, astonished at what sheis seeing. She steps forwards and speaks strange words butKraal cannot understand her. He looks confused and lifts hishands up to signal her to pause speaking.

Please, wait a moment, I need toalign our minds.

Kraal takes a small scanner-like device from his belt andclicks the settings. He motions for her to continue to speak.She does, rambling on about something he cannot understand.He continues to adjust the settings, scanning near her headwith the device till the garble of words suddenly istranslated and he can hear her meaning.

A few drops of red blood trickle down the chain-saws blade.

Jurn sees it and elbows Kraal.

Kraal nods, gulping with amazement.

Christie gets into the driver's seat, Kraal and Alexis getinto the passenger side of the old Ford ute. The others havepiled into the back as Christie starts the reluctant engine.

KRAALFly low, and if you have acloaking shield then I suggestyou turn it on as we are highlyvisible in this thing.

Christie snorts with laughter.

CHRISTIESorry, no flying in this heap ofjunk. Our cars roll on the groundaround here and this old girldoes so only when she feels likeit. And the best cloak we got iscalled darkness. Other than that,it's a slow ride in this car.Fingers crossed it won't break

down either or we'll be pushingit home!

Kraal looks at his fingers, trying to work out why theyshould be crossed as Christie drives slowly home.

SCENE 8. EXT. FARMHOUSE. NIGHT.

The truck pulls up at the large and homely looking farm-houseand chugs, back-fires before it eventually comes to a stop.Everyone feels relieved as they get out.

Christie takes them towards the porch where a barbecue issizzling with some steaks. On the love-seat on the porch, anolder man sits quietly and barely notices anything.

Back at the scout's crash site two black clad men carrying anassortment of unworldly swords and looking very Gothicconverge on the scout.

Dressed in Black leather trench-coats, dark pants andshirts, their white faces are sickly pale in the moonlitnight. Sporting thick dreadlocks, one longer and the othershorter, they appear very evil and sinister.

One takes a scanner-type device from his coat and scans forlife-signs. Finding none nearby, the black-bloods move out onfoot, trying to trace the footprints of the crew. They comeacross the blood stained tissue and see the red-blood stain.Both men look it over, one sniffs it and licks his lips. Theygrin a very evil grin to each other, then silently keep

tracking the trucks tire tracks.

SCENE 10. EXT. FARMHOUSE. NIGHT.

At the farmhouse, Christie takes Kraal to the man sitting onthe porch.

CHRISTIEThis is my Father, Dave. Daddy,this is Karl, he's um, a friend,from, well, outer space. They

just crashed into our cornfield.Made a heck of a mess too... Um,sorry, rambling again...

Kraal smiles.

KRAALIt is a pleasure to meet you Sir.

Dave barely acknowledges anything. He looks with his eyes buthis head barely moves. Christie smiles sadly at Kraal.

CHRISTIE

I think he can hear you, but he'sgot this lumpin his head, hedoesn't talk or anything anymore,but I still talk to him likealways.

Kraal winces, understanding.

Reluctantly, Kraal sniffs, examines and finally sips thestrange looking drink; he smiles at the pleasing, tangy

taste. Christie busies herself with heating up a fry-panfor eggs and she puts on some coffee and toast as well.

Jurn bursts in from outside, a look of joyful bewildermentupon his smiling face.

JURNKraal, come see, the sky here...Its blue!

Kraal quickly puts his glass down and follows Jurn outside.Christie curiously follows as well.

SCENE 12. EXT. CORNFIELD. DAY.

The pick-up chugs and coughs to a stop at the top of thehill. They border the cornfield. Ahead, there are militaryguards blocking off access yet everyone can see the crash-site below. Christie kills the engine, looking shocked.

The ploughed up cornfield is there but the Hassah is gone.

Kraal and Jurn look horrified as they exit the back of the

truck. Alexis gets out of the cab and wipes her brow inangst.

Christie is also stumped but then notices large truck-tiretracks in the field.

KRAALWhat the?

JURNHow can this be?

CHRISTIE

Look, trucks have been there.Your ship must be with the army Ireckon. They mustve come lastnight and picked it up.

Suddenly, a noise from the corn-rows makes everyone spinaround. Kraal and Jurn reactively draw their sidearms.

The Mort black-bloods step out and are holding up their ownguns at the crew.

One of the Mort, having longer and thicker blackdreadlocks, steps forwards. He hisses vehemently at themwith sharp rotting teeth. His black soulless eyes scan thefaces of the gun-wielding crew. His pale white skin handgrips the strange looking gun and he glowers.

SCENE 13. EXT. FARMHOUSE. DAY.

The group return to the farmhouse, Kraal and Jurn pile outthe pick-up as Dave, Toby and Lovah come outside to greetthem.

The smile drains from Tobys face.

JURNThe Hassah, its gone!

Shock, horror and disbelief is shared among all the crew.

CHRISTIEThose black dudes turned up andtheir ships gone as well. Ifigure its the army. They hadmen there and we saw truck tiremarks. Hummers came so we left.

The sound of another car approaches. Dave looks down thewinding drive to see a late model red pick-up truck cometowards them. Dave fumes, squinting.

The truck looks very blingy and expensive as it comes to anabrupt stop not far from everyone. Inside the cab, thedriver glares at the group.

CHRISTIEThats Tom! Hes a neighbor from

across the other hillside.

Dave walks over to the truck as the truck-door opens andTom gets out.

Tom and Dave exchange brief words. Tom looks angry thatDave is up and about once more. Dave looks very angryindeed. Tom takes a piece of paper that looks like a checkand tries to hand it to Dave. Dave refuses to take it.

Kraal and Jurn walk over to make sure things dont go badas the anger in Daves face is growing.

Tom glares at Kraal and Jurn.

Tom considers arguing as Jurn flexes his muscles, standing

strong next to Kraal. Tom rethinks and reluctantly getsinto his truck, slamming the door.

Tom starts the truck and reverses back, noticing theholstered guns that look odd on Kraal and Jurn. He drivesoff with spinning wheels in the dusty drive and roars away.

Christie walks over followed by the others.

Reluctantly Jurn takes his belt off and hands it to Kraal.Kraal passes both belts to Toby.

Jurn turns back, making a gun shape with his hand andmouths shoot first. Toby chuckles, brushing him off.

Dave, Jurn and Kraal get into the pick-up. They drive away

SCENE 14. EXT. TRUCK. DAY

Dave drives Kraal and Jurn to town. Everyone looks aboutthem to the forested countryside as it passes by.

DAVESo, I cant help getting thefeeling you all have more of astory to tell than what youreletting on. Thats ok, we all gotsecrets. But you better make suretheres no blow-back on Christieor so help me, those black guyswill be the least of yourworries!

Kraal nods.

KRAALYou have our word, neitherChristie or you will come to noharm. - And youre right, thereis more to us than what you know.When the time is right, we willfill you in, promise.

Dave and Kraal exchange looks.

The truck pulls into the main street. Harmony is a small tomoderate town, a main street intersected by side streets.Most store names and services are available. It has a realcountry air about it and is small enough to be small andlarge enough to support the population.

The Police station opposite has the sheriff talking to anold woman out-front who complains about something random.

DAVENow, that is our law enforcementright there. Thats Sheriff Holein the hat. He has a deputy ortwo someplace as well but Hole isthe one you need to watch.

DAVENot a bad man, just a verydifficult man. Ive known him formore years than I care toremember and he doesnt bend aninch. So, if he gets hold of you

then he will process you by thebook, which in your case, meansturning you over to the militaryand trust me, thats the lastthing you want.

Sheriff Hole begins walking over to the truck.

Kraal points to a punk girl with a multi-colored mohawk asshe crosses the street.

Kraal looks over and sees the Sheriff still standing outthe front of the police station, casually watching thetruck and other goings on in the street.

The truck door opens and Dave is there. He passes a brownpaper bag to Kraal. The store owner brings out a largeduffel bag that looks quite heavy. He throws it into theback of the truck.

Dave nods and smiles as he gets in to the truck.

DAVESure thing Walt. Take it easy.

Dave starts the engine and they back out of the car space.

SCENE 15. EXT. FARMHOUSE. DAY.

The truck comes up the driveway, dust following them. Thereare three black SUVs parked in the drive. Dave pulls up bythe garage and Kraal and Jurn cautiously get out.

Standing by the cars are four men in black suits. By thehouse and talking to Christie are two more men, black suitsas well.

CHRISTIELike I said. We didnt seenuthin.

G-MANWell that double negative equatesto a positive, miss.

Christie is confused and intimidated.

CHRISTIE

The Agent leans in, overlooking his black sunglasses.

G-MANIf you didnt hear nothing, thenyou did hear something. I justwant to know what.

Christie fumbles with the hem of her shirt. The Agentglares through his dark glasses, unmoving.

Dave steps in-between Christie and the Agent.

G-MANMr. Richards. - Im - AgentBooth. Ive been speaking with

your lovely daughter regarding aweather balloon that appears tohave crashed last night in thefield, your field, where yougrow... corn. We were just hereto make certain that there wereno injuries reported. Nothing outof the ordinary. That kind ofthing.

Dave chuckles.

DAVEReally, six men in suits want totalk about a downed weatherballoon? Wow! Just what branch ofthe Government are you from AgentBooth? Show me some ID please?

Reluctantly Agent Booth flashes his credentials.

G-MANIm assigned to NORAD, South Westdivision.

Dave examines the id. It seems legit, not that Dave reallywould know. He hands it back.

DAVEAnd NORAD track weather balloonsnow? And sent you!

Dave smirks, rolling his eyes.

G-MANWe took the call seeing as wewere in the area, thats all.

Dave takes the card and puts it into his shirt pocket.

Agent Booth signals the men. They get back into their carsand make a small road-train to the next house on theirlist.

She nods, focussing her intent on Dave once more. He againlights up as Alexis heals him.

JURNWe have to be more careful. Ifall our powers wain then we havereal problems.

Kraal snaps. The frustration and fear boiling over. Hepushes Jurn, sending him sprawling backwards.

Jurn grinds his jaw and turns away. He looks and sees twopick-up trucks laden with armed men coming up the drive.The first truck is Toms.

JURNFrack! Kraal, Dave, we got moreproblems!

The trucks pull up sharp, creating skids and dust storms asthe men who carry rifles get out of the truck. Jurn countseleven men in total, all carrying rifles and all pointed atthem. Dave gets up from the chair. He feels fighting-fit

now from the healing.

DAVEI told you too get off my land!

Tom smirks, lifting his hat in a cocky stance.

TOMYeah, well. See, I had thesegovernment agents at my placeearlier. They was asking aboutsome weather balloon bullshitthat crashed into your cornfield.

Dave glares, hands on hips.

DAVEYeah, and? They were here too.

TOMWell, it dont take no rocketscientist to see a bullshitgovernment excuse being floatedlike a giant pig with wings. Theydont send no cars of men in

Tom cocks his Winchester and aims it at Jurn.

Kraal and Jurn exchange worried glances.

TOBYNo you look! Im making us all acitizens arrest. You all keep putwhile I call the Sheriff, seeing

as you dont seem to be dialingtoo well Christie.

Tom takes his cell phone out and begins dialling.

Christie looks at Dave, she gulps. Kraal looks deeplyconcerned. Jurn grinds his jaw angrily...

End of pilot episode.

In the next few episodes, the powers of each blood-line arerevealed. The government are still actively looking for the

crew. Tom becomes more of a threat.

The crew try to find out where their damaged ship has goneand the search for Peta continues. Kraal and Christie'srelationship sparks and deepens. The Black-bloods try tosubvert everything but are also hampered by the government'sinterference. The local sheriff becomes more involved and hishelp and hindrance make his loyalties always questionable.

Season One culminates in the crew finding their ship butthings sadly don't go to plan, leaving a cliff-hanger forSeason Two. Problems between all the main characters make fora nail-biter finale.
