HOW?

Satan discourages the believer (the work is too big, the task is too hard, consecration is too difficult).

Satan tries to manipulate the path of the believer whereby the believer becomes enticed, offended, discouraged, pitiful.

Satan tries to convince the believer that the believer is capable and worthy and can accomplish the work of God in their own power.

Spiritual warfare for the believer is this:

The believer either quits because he is defeated or doesn't even get involved in the battle in the first place, or desires to receive the glory for the work of the battle. In any case, the objective of Satan and his agents is satisfied.

Success in this battle of Spiritual Warfare is achieved by living a consecrated life. This is accomplished by:

Yielding to the Holy Spirit

Washing yourself with God's Word

Proper, Biblical edification through the work of the local Church
