Memory Cards: “Baraja” If the student is having problems with vocabulary words, pairs of cards will be created, for example, ‘a comb’ on one and ‘la peineta’ on the other (others can be ‘a fan’ and ‘el abanico’ or ‘the tap-‐danced’ and ‘el zapateado’). Then, like the Memory games many of us have placed in the past, the cards will be shufJled and spread on a table or the Jloor with the words facing down. The students will work in pairs and take turns matching the new vocabulary words that had just learned in this lesson. This will reinforce their learning. I would probably make 6-‐7 pairs to start with depending on the grade level of my students. Materials need: construction paper, images, glue, and happy kids.
