MATTHEW FERNANDEZ (Algernon Moncrie) is is Matt Fernandez’s second time being cast in a stage play and as a lead aer performing in a production of “e People v William White” at UCLA. When not pretending to be other people, Matt works as a journalist and on various lm projects. He also enjoys writing horror screenplays, watching trivia game shows, spending too much money on comic books, and obsessively consuming pop culture. He’s thoroughly enjoyed working with this cast and is excited to pretend to be signicantly fancier more British than he really is.
INTRODUCING THE PRODUCTION TEAM
KERI GREEN (Gwendolyn Fairfax) is excited to make her debut on the CTG stage in one of her favorite roles to date! Other favorites have been Helena in "A Midsummer Night's Dream", Austin in "Western Civilization: e Complete Musical (Abridged)", and Sally Bowles in "Cabaret". She would like to thank her cast and directors for putting up with her and hopes you enjoy the show!
PAUL CARPENTER (Chasuble) returns to CTG aer debuting in “You Can't Take It With You” (Mr. Kirby). Elsewhere: “King Lear”, “Cyrano de Bergerac”, “Eurydice”, “Wizard of Oz”, “Laramie Project”, “Arsenic and Old Lace”; Caltech productions; Gilbert & Sullivan operettas; eatricum Botanicum; and 30+ lms.
JAMES COBLENZ (Cecily Carde / Prop Designer) James is thrilled to be fullling a lifelong dream to play Cecily in “e Importance Of Being Earnest”! Her favorite roles include e Centauress in “e Chronicles of Narnia”, Ann Deever in “All My Sons”, and Henrietta Brewster in “Suppressed Desires”. She wishes to thank the Lord for his continued blessings! She also wishes to thank her mother, sister, and brother in law for their support and love! Her next project is at e Seattle Rep eatre as their newest Prop Intern! Her prop resume includes “Two Gentlemen Of Verona” set in the wizarding world and a rambunctious production of “Tartue”. e latter of which she was nom-inated for a Kennedy Center American College eatre Festival Properties Design Award! Enjoy the show!
TED TOBIN (Lane/Merriman) From the time he was 10 to the age of 27 Ted has been involved in roughly 80 productions. Aer a 30 year absence, he is back on stage to serve you. Well, to serve everyone really. (He plays two butlers).ELDA COLEMAN (Miss Prism) is thrilled to be a part of this Trivial Comedy for Serious People by Oscar Wilde. She last performed at CTG as Doris in "e Cemetery Club." She dedicates this performance to her family, especially her four Important, beautiful grandchildren, Maseo, Uriah, Rhett and Charis.
KARIN DULUUDE (Lady Bracknell) is honored by the opportunity to portray such a celebrated character. Other roles include: Nurse Racher in "e System" with Unbound Productions' Wicked Lit, Madame in "Absinthe, Opium & Magic: 1920s Shanghai" with the Grand Guignolers and the iconic Katharine Hepburn in her original one-woman show "Hepburn Sings!"
MIKE DAVIES (Co-Director) Michael Davies is delighted to be co director on one of his favorite plays “ e importance of Being Earnest”. is was the last play written by Oscar Wilde, and is arguably his most well known. e play opened 1897 yet Wilde’s wit and humor at the expense of the upper classes still resonates with today’s audiences. Michael is a multi Goldie award winner, and also an instructor at the youth workshops for the CTG. Nothing is better than theater.
CHRISTOPHER FLOWERS (John (Jack) Worthing ) Originally from Chicagoland, Christopher has trained at Lewis University, Chicago Shakespeare Rep, the Second City, and the MFA acting program at UT/Austin. He has performed in many plays, musicals, commercials, live action stunt shows, improv/sketch comedy shows, children’s theater, mystery dinner theater, and more. Christo-pher is a founder of e Big Sandwich eatre Company as playwright, director, and actor. is is his h production at the CTG, lastly as e Narrator in “A Christmas Story”. He currently works as a SAG Voice Actor. “anks and love to my family and friends for everything you’ve put in my actor's toolbox."

JOHN FORTMAN (Co-Director) rst appeared on the CTG stage in “Who Was at Lady I Saw You With” under the direction of Mike Davies. Since then, he has had supporting and ensemble roles in “Annie”, “Tom Sawyer”, “e Music Man”, “White Christmas”, “Hairspray”, “Les Miserables”, “Mary Poppins”, and “Once Upon A Mattress”. He directed or co-directed “Winnie e Pooh”, “at Lovin’ Feelin’”, and most recently “Buddy, e Buddy Holly Story”. John is currently pre-paring to direct the upcoming CTG production of “Peter And e Starcatcher” opening late Sep-tember. ank you, Mike Davies, for permitting me to glean tiny morsels of your genius while we worked together on “Earnest”. My sincerest love and appreciation to my wife and theatre widow, Nette, whose boundless love, encouragement, tolerance and restraint have allowed me to pursue this ridiculous and perfect avocation of theatre.
