Beth Haynes 12 Days of Christmas Online Auction

WHAT: The Beth Haynes 12 Days of Christmas Online Auction

WHEN: December 1-12, 2019

WHERE: www.mcnabbcenter.org

HOW: Beth Haynes will host an online auction the first 12 days of December, benefiting Helen Ross McNabb Center’s annual Dear Santa program. Local donations make this charitable countdown to Christmas possible. Bidders experience the joy of giving while purchasing unique gifts and experiences.

WHY: To provide children and families with the most need and the least resources the opportunity to experience a happy, unforgettable holiday season and meet their basic needs throughout the year.

Along with recognition throughout the event, all donors receive a business website link on the auction site (if applicable) and newsletter recognition.

Your participation will help raise the auction to a new level and allow the Center to serve more children and families in our community.

Can we count you in?

Please join the Helen Ross McNabb Center for the 2019 Beth Haynes 12 Days of Christmas Online Auction, and support the Dear Santa program, which serves more than 2,200 children and families each holiday season in East Tennessee.

You make a difference

After more than 70 years in the community, the Helen Ross McNabb Center remains a premier provider of quality mental health care, social services and substance abuse treatment. The Center has grown to include more than 100 programs in its continuum of care and serves more than 27,000 children, adults and families in East Tennessee communities annually.

Throughout the years, the Center’s mission has remained clear, improving the lives of the people we serve. For more information on the Center’s services and locations, please visit mcnabbcenter.org.

Dear Santa

For nearly 20 years, the Center has pro-vided holiday gifts for children and ado-lescents up to 18 years of age through the Dear Santa program. Child clients in need, and their siblings, receive donated gifts from community sponsors. Because many of the children have limited re-

sources, many wish lists consist of basic items like clothing, a winter coat, new shoes and, of course, their Christmas wish for Santa.

Thanks to the success of the Beth Haynes 12 Days of Christmas online auction, the Center has been able to expand the parameters of the Dear Santa program. Newer elements include provid-ing small gifts and a party to adults living in the Center’s supportive housing and clients receiving services at the peer support centers; decorating the domestic violence shelters for both women and men; and creating an emergeny fund for clients with extenuating circumstances during the holidays. This fund was extrmely helpful to the clients we serve during the Sevier County wildfires.

Most notably, funding from the auction has enabled the Dear Santa program to develop Elf Shopping, a community event where local celebrities and community volunteers help Center staff purchase items for more than 200 children who still have a need for gifts at Christmas.
