SPRING CITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Second Sunday in Lent - Purple February 28, 2010

ANNOUNCEMENTS

FIRST WEDNESDAY DINNER will be this Wednesday, March 3rd at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center. Come and fellowship with your church family and enjoy a meal prepared for you. There will be corned beef & cabbage, red potatoes, carrots, salad, rolls, and desserts for everyone’s delight. Please drop your reservations (see back page) in the offering plate, or call the church office at 365-6324, to make reservations. ONE WEEK NOTICE NEEDED: If you are planning an event or a meeting and want to announce it in the bulletin, be sure to contact the church office at least one week before the date of the event or the meeting. This will give enough time to include it in the announcements for the Sunday bulletin and send out a reminder, if necessary. It is not necessary to give notices for any recurring monthly and bi-monthly events and meetings, unless there are changes. THE UPPER ROOM daily devotional guides for March - April, 2010 are available in the narthex and by the side entrance of the church.

Thank you so much for the flowers you have placed on the altar in honor of my birthday last Sunday. In addition to flowers, I have received so many wonderful cards and phone calls from many caring folks. I am deeply touched and feel loved. I am truly blessed to have such great church family and friends.

In Christ Love, Margaret Scholz

Dear friends, How can I ever thank you for your love, concerns & prayers, and even a hair cut and flowers. I am over the pneumonia, but my blood sugar is not under control. So I will be here for a while. I do miss all of you.

Love, Rosalind
