Another Sunday night shift. The smell of bread baking. The industrial thump, thump, thump of the machines that never stop. The ovens are cranked up to full blast, the factory is humming, and everyone wants to be somewhere else. But this shift is going to be different. Because when a crisis hits the factory, the men have more to lose than just their wages…

From the writer of the international hit One Man, Two Guvnors, Richard Bean’s brilliantly observed drama stars the Olivier Award winning actor Matthew Kelly and Simon Greenall (Alan Partridge).

"Two years ago, I found a videotape in my loft. On it: one and a half films, one quiz show and two sitcoms. Somehow it became the story of my life."

After a hard-drive crash and a near death experience, Ross Sutherland found himself house-bound with only one thing for company: an old videotape that once belonged to his grandad. Ross memorised every second of the tape. Slowly, he learnt how to manipulate the images into telling the story of his life.

Standby For Tape Back-Up was one of the critical hits of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2014 – enjoying a sell-out run at Summerhall.

Shadowlands is the stunning drama written by William Nicholson that poses classic questions about religion, pain and love, through childhood innocence and the wonder of late-flowering love.

Starring Stephen Boxer (Humans, The Iron Lady, Doctors) as C.S. Lewis, Tony Slattery (Whose Line is it Anyway?) and Amanda Ryan (The Forsyte Saga), this West End and Broadway hit is the love story of C.S. Lewis - Oxford don and author of The Chronicles of Narnia and The Screwtape Letters - and American poet Joy Davidman.

Brought to you by the producers of the critically acclaimed touring productions of Birdsong and Flare Path, in association with Guildford's Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.

The award-winning, laugh-out-loud spin on Spielberg’s classic film Jurassic Park is a theatrical celebration of cinematic nostalgia.

In the unlikely setting of Lyme Regis Community Centre, the Park family embark on a journey. When things go wrong, family feuds are faced with the rapturous roar of DIY dinosaurs.

An epic adventure of show-stopping theatrics and megalithic mayhem. Just like the film, suitable for the whole family.

Lancing Green this summer.

Anyone with a taste for adventure can come have a swing on one of the only Flying Trapezes in the country open to

the public. These classes involve completing a simple trick on a hanging bar, then a trick on the Flying Trapeze and

towards the end of the class aim to be caught by a catcher on a separate swinging bar.

With their oldest student to date being 78, outdoor Flying Trapeze is for anyone looking for a fun alternative for all.

For those not wishing to take a class, be astounded by the Gorilla Circus Flying Trapeze Troupe performing their

high-flying acrobatic spectacular in the evenings. The performers will flip and twist, catching each other whilst

high in the air, and as the tricks get harder, and the performers fly higher, you too will be blown away by this

thrilling troupe.

WT are proud to be working with Ockham’s Razor, the critically acclaimed aerial theatre company, specialising in creating stunning physical theatre. Performing their triple-bill, three exquisite pieces; Arc, Every Action and Memento Mori brought to life in the Pavilion Theatre.

Arc - Three people find themselves stranded together, suspended in the air. Arc examines the instability of a triangle where relationships form and break apart and explores the experience of isolation in close proximity.

Every Action - A playful look at the bonds that form when people are thrown together. Four strangers meet before twenty-five metres of suspended rope. As they explore this elevated set of scales, they discover a world where everything you do will affect someone, somewhere.

Memento Mori - An award winning, powerful duet performedon a suspended metal frame. It is based on Holbein’s woodcuts of The Dance of Death, where death is represented as a skeleton that dances each of us to our grave.

Lucy Worsley takes you on a journey through the weird world of the Georgian court by telling the story of her favourite queen, Caroline.

Wife of the almost-forgotten King George II, Caroline was the fattest, funniest and cleverest queen ever to sit on the throne. Using eighteenth-century paintings, court memoirs, palace diaries and intimate letters, Lucy recounts the adventures and trials of Caroline’s life, explaining the unlikely turn of events that led an orphaned princess from a tiny German state to sit upon the British throne.

This is another of Lucy’s hugely successful talks, following her sold-out events in July 2013 and February 2015.

This talk ties in with Lucy’s BBC Four series, The First Georgians, and her book Courtiers, The Secret History of the Georgian Court.

Worthing Musical Theatre Company is presenting the West End triumph and award-winning show, Legally Blonde: The Musical.

Legally Blonde is the all-dancing romantic comedy that proves everything is possible with a positive attitude! The story follows sorority president Elle Woods as she defies all expectations.

Along the way, Elle discovers how the law can be used to help others, and with the help of her new friends, shows how saving the day never goes out of style.

Worthing Musical Comedy Society is the first amateur company in Sussex to be producing Spamalot since the close of the professional tour.

staging the futureWe’ve been listening to your feedback and have some great plans for the coming year which we would like to share. We have almost achieved the external funding required to complete work on the Connaught Studio and by June it will be beautifully decorated and have new raked seating. Not only will the seats be more comfortable, they will give excellent sightlines for all productions and films. We will be installing a new bar in the studio providing a tailored selection of alcoholic and soft drinks as well as bar snacks.

We also have a series of technical improvements for the Pavilion Theatre in development which will support our first Summer of Circus launching this year.

Finally, we are aware that our hearing loop system is not as good as it could be, we are therefore in the process of applying for funding to enable us to upgrade our systems to a state-of-the-art offer.

Staging the Future is our ongoing programme of works to improve our theatrical spaces… and we’d love you to help us.

If you would like to be part of the Connaught Studio refurbishments and become part of Worthing’s theatrical history, we have two great options:

Wave of Stars Your name, dedication or celebration of a friend or loved one will be featured on our Wave of Stars, an artistic sea-inspired mural featuring names in one of four sizes. Your donation of £250, £100, £50 or £25 will ensure your inscription remains on the Connaught Studio wall for at least five years in honour of your gift to the theatre.

Business BenefactorsWe are also looking for Business Benefactors to sponsor a row of seats. For £1500 your business will be celebrated within the artistic mural, be featured in our seasonal brochures and panto programmes in addition to a receiving a row of tickets (worth up to £450) to use as you wish.

Should you require further information about featuring in our Wave of Stars or becoming a Business Benefactor please write to Fundraising and PRCo-ordinator, Connaught Theatre, Union Place, Worthing. BN11 1LG oremail [email protected]
