Stephen Mason will go through everything you need to know about this traditional skill, including clearing, trimming, cutting and laying. 10am-4pm. £50. Introduction to Coppicing Saturday 18th Feb. Learn the traditional skills of coppicing in our woodlands. Ideal for anyone interested in sustainable woodland management. 10am-4pm. £50. Introduction to Bread Making * Sunday 15th Jan. Learn to make the bread of your choice with the Church Farm baker as well as other bread making skills. Includes cream tea in the cafe afterwards as well as the item you’ve baked. 1pm-4pm. £50. Bakery Basics Workshop * Saturday 17th March. Learn to make the bread of your choice, Church Farm pork pies, delicious cup cakes and a host of other bakery basics. Includes lunch, refreshments and the items you’ve baked. Max. 4 per group.10am-5pm. £150.00. Introduction to Sausage Making * Sunday 29th Jan. Learn to make your very own Church Farm sausages with our butchery team. Includes sausage and mash in the café afterwards and a pack of sausages that you’ve prepared. 11pm-2pm. £50. Butchery Basics Workshop * Sunday 5th Feb. Learn to joint a whole chicken, prepare and make sausages, bone and roll a roasting joint and to French trim a rack of lamb plus a host of other butchery basics. Includes lunch, refreshments and the meat that you have prepared. Max. 4 per group. 10am – 5pm. £150.00. Introduction to Edible Gardening Sunday 12th Feb. Learn about the origins of forest gardening, its link with permaculture, perennial food growing guilds and plants and succession in nature and working with a natural system. 2 1/2 hours. £40.
