A permit is required to traverse the upper private land trail section of the track. To obtain a permit, register online at www.thecreamtrack.com.au. Print and carry the approved permit with you whilst you walk. Follow the directional arrows to ensure that you stay on track. This track is challenging with many steep sections and creek crossings. Bushwalking experience and a moderate to high level of fitness is recommended. Toilets are not available and telephone service is limited so walk with a partner or in a group. Plan ahead, check the local weather forecast and bushfire alerts for the region on the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services webpage (http://newsroom.psba.qld.gov.au).
