SSPC PA 2Measurement of Dry Coating Thickness with Magnetic Gages

1. Take minimum 5 spot measurement readings from 1 to 10m2 area.2. Each spot measurement consists of average of 03 gage readings in 1.5 diameter circle.3. Take average of all 05 spot measurements.4. Readings acceptable if:a. No spot measurement < 80% of DFTb. Average of spot measurement DFT.5. If any spot measurement < 80% DFT, then take more readings to isolate the area of lesser thickness.(Note: Individual gage readings inside spot circle may be less than 80% of DFT)
