01[20:36] Fade...01[20:36] .To....01[20:36] ..Black01[20:36] When we last left our heroes, theywere bravely fleeing a writhing mass of giant, razor-

toothed, ninja-eating worms.01[20:36] Having finished their mission ofprotecting the beautiful pop-star, Monobikei-hime, the teamleft Fuushamorimura with a new, mysterious companion.However, they were soon assaulted by a powerful sandstormthat sent most of them rolling across the dunes.01[20:36] Soon enough, the lost members foundthemselves in a series of tunnels beneath the sand. After ashort time of confusion, the group was eventually reunitedjust in time to avoid being eaten.01[20:36] With their tails between their legs,our heroes flee the worms cavern to travel back out intothe harsh sandstorm... with one less counted among them.01[20:37] Some time later, the puppets stop,and their shielding wings open to reveal blue skies. Youfind yourselves on what appears to be a road. Pulling out ascroll, Sasori ushers his two puppets into their seals ashe looks around to get his bearings.01[20:37] Actions!?[20:37] werent we flying in a giant beetlewith sasori?01[20:37] Giant Beetle = Puppet. And theyweren't flying, they were walking.01[20:38] Fast.[20:38] Jun gets out stretches and pops hisneck. "Where are we now?"[20:39] "..."[20:39] Yasu shakes the sand from the storm outof his clothing as best he can before examining the twoitems he found on the skeleton in the worm caves.01[20:40] * Hyuuga_Rairaku says "Lost?" as she looks at heothers01[20:41] * ~ShadowDM :Sasori -> "It would seem we areseveral miles north of the mountain range seperating the

Northern Desert from the Easter." To the south, you can seea line of mountains. To the north-east, the sky is darkbrown from due to the sandstorm that has passed.[20:41] "ehh... Sensei, do you know where weare?"01[20:42] * Hyuuga_Rairaku hmms lighty01[20:42] Sasori takes a few steps down theroad before stopping abruptly and turning. For a second,

his eyes dart around as though counting. "Wait... we'remissing one. Has any of you seen Mai?"01[20:42] * Hyuuga_Rairaku is silent[20:43] Looks around in a panic "Mai?!!"[20:43] Yasu looks around in confusion. "I

didn't notice her missing," Her turns to Jun, "Wasn't shewith you?"[20:44] Looks confused "She left me at somepoint... Did we lose her?!"[20:45] "Seems to be the case."01[20:45] Sasori folds his arms and closes hiseyes. "This is most unfortunate... I will report her MIA.The village may send a recovery team to the area... thoughconsidering the circumstances, she is likely dead."01[20:46] * Hyuuga_Rairaku stares at sasori as he says thatcomment[20:46] is visibly rattled and angry. "Goddammit..."[20:47] Yasu looks like he is having troubleprocessing this bit of information. He slumps to the groundand stares off blankly.01[20:48] * Hyuuga_Rairaku walks over to yasu stnadinginfront of him[20:48] "Not dead..."01[20:48] Sasori removes a small bird-shapeddevice from his cloak. Several lines of blue chakra passfrom his hand to the small construct before it whirrs tolife and shoots off to the south.01[20:49] * Hyuuga_Rairaku looks back at sasori[20:49] "Path?"[20:49] Storms off and punches fiercely intothe sand. "dammit...."[20:49] Yasu shakes his head and looks up atRai. He nods slowly, "Yeah, she's a tough one, she'll bealright."01[20:50] * ~ShadowDM :Sasori -> "We should continuemoving, the only thing we can do for now is get back to thevillage."[20:50] "How longer?"

01[20:50] * ~ShadowDM :Sasori -> "At least a day."[20:50] "way?"01[20:50] As a response, Sasori begins walkingsouth along the road.01[20:51] * Hyuuga_Rairaku offers a hand to yasu[20:51] "up"[20:52] Yasu takes her hand and pulls ihmselfup. He still looks shaken, but not as badly.

The night passeson as the endless desert rolls by you.01[21:04] Soon enough you see the mountains youknow as home, and shortly there after, you turn onto thehidden path that leads you to the sheer stone wall.[21:04] "..Maybe"01[21:05] With practiced ease Sasori moves hishands along the surface, tapping at the appropriate place.The earth rumbles as the cliff face is split open by hiddenallies to reveal the long dark hallway.[21:06] "Home?" she looks at the others01[21:06] * Tanshin_Yori nods almost imperceptibly.01[21:06] The long dark hallway is illuminatedonly by a softly glowing orb of chakra in Sasori's hand asthe wall closes behind you, shutting out the sparsemoonlight.[21:07] Stares up the stone walls, his eyesfull of anticipation[21:07] Yasu walks alogn silently, occasionallyfidgeting with his clothes in an attempt to make themslightly more presentable.01[21:08] * Hyuuga_Rairaku stares forward seemingly

[21:21] "Attack?"01[21:21] Soon enough, the group arrives at thelarge door to the Council Chamber Foyer.01[21:21] Sasori opens the door and tilts hishead, indicating you should get inside.01[21:21] * Hyuuga_Rairaku remains silent letting theothers in first01[21:22] * Tanshin_Yori shuffles inside.[21:22] Wanders in. Kunai still held[21:22] Yasu enters and relaxes slightly,taking his hand off the hilt of his sword.[21:22] Judgement?" she says to sasori01[21:23] He shrugs, "It's up to the Kazekage.Word has likely already been sent to the Leaf."01[21:23] * Hyuuga_Rairaku stares at sasori blankly for amoment then walks in[21:23] "If they're enemy nin we should comeup w a plan. We have a village to protect here"[21:24] "..."[21:24] "If the ones Rairaku saw were enemies,I think sensei owuld have taken action."[21:25] "True. But why the curfew? Whathappened while we were gone?"[21:25] "The plan is to report to oursuperiors. If the village is under attack, then we need toact on orders and according to Kazekage-sama's strategy,not randomly throw ourselves at whoever we come across."01[21:26] The door closes with an oninous thud.The lights in the Foyer are low, but you can clearly seethe usual Chuunin assistant standing in front of the doorleading to the Council Chambers proper. "The Kazekage willsee you shortly." He simply states.[21:26] Yasu nods and goes to lean against anearby wall. He sighs tiredly.

[21:27] "If anything is wrong, we'll findout shortly."[21:27] In a swift motion removes his travelcloak and replaces his kunai. "I should take the blame forlosing Mai. It's my fault"01[21:27] * ~ShadowDM :Sasori -> "Shortly?" He raises aneyebrow and looks down his nose at the Chuunin, who staresback for a moment before averting his eyes.

01[21:28] * ~ShadowDM :Chuunin -> "The Kazekage is in ameeting, not unrelated to this... situation."01[21:28] * Hyuuga_Rairaku nods at the chunin and goes tothe wall, sitting down back to it[21:28] Yasu eyes Jun, "It is nobodies fault

Junichi, we had no ocntrol over the situation."01[21:29] Sasori's eyes widen, as if suddenlyrealizing something. The look is gone as soon as itappeared, and with a curt nod, he turns around to take aseat.01[21:29] * Hyuuga_Rairaku closes her eyes01[21:30] * Tanshin_Yori removes his sunglasses andabsentmindedly wipes them with the hem of his shirt,evidently deep in thought.[21:30] "...Thats not good enough. Not for herclan, for suna, not for me"01[21:31] The door opens suddenly, and closesjust as quickly. A woman with long burgundy hair steps intothe Foyer and looks around. This woman is strangelyfamiliar to one of you...[21:31] Yasu isghs in exasperation and shakeshis head. He gives up on talking to Jun about this.01[21:32] * Tanshin_Yori replaces his shades and watchesthe woman attentively.01[21:32] * ~ShadowDM :Sasori -> "Isodo-sama?"01[21:32] The woman looks at Sasori, briefly,flashing him a quick smile before she puts on her seriousface and scans the room.01[21:33] Almost at once her eyes latch ontoRai and with a graceful gait, she moves to stand in frontof her.01[21:33] * Hyuuga_Rairaku is sitting on the groundleanging aganst the wall eyes closed01[21:33] * ~ShadowDM :Isoda -> "Hyuuga Rairaku?"01[21:34] * Hyuuga_Rairaku says with a dull tone " Do notcall me hyuuga." with her eyes still closed01[21:35] * Hyuuga_Rairaku opens her eyes and looks up01[21:36] * ~ShadowDM :Isoda -> "Whatever you wish. you now."[22:15] Looks curiously at Yori, finding itfunny he seems uncomfortable in a social situation. Nowthat he thought about it he must feel that way a lot, givenhe's an introverted sort of guy. It would be worth gettingto know him...01[22:15] The doors open with a creak as bothSasori and Isoda rise, leading the way to the door.[22:15] Yasu stands up fully and looks about,"All of us?"01[22:15] * Hyuuga_Rairaku stands up slowly[22:15] Sighs and walks through, his lookfierce.01[22:15] The Chuunin smiles. "All of you."01[22:15] * Hyuuga_Rairaku walks in[22:15] Yasu nods and follows Rai into theroom, trying to look as proffesional as possible.01[22:16] * Tanshin_Yori casually strides into the room.01[22:17] The council chambers are dark, verydark. A single flickering sconce is lit directly behind theKazekage. To his left is Chikamatsu Chiyu, one of thegreatest puppet-masters in the village, and to his right isa man in a fox mask.01[22:17] The mask itself is strange, paintedred with black lips. Its eyes are golden scales thatflicker softly despite the low light. Though you have neverseen him before, his reputation precedes him. Bakemono,leader of the Onimaku clan.01[22:17] Below the council chairs and slightlyto the left stand three individuals. One has the blank eyesreminiscent of Rairaku, one wears a black, high-collaredjacket with dark sunglasses, and the last is a young womanwith long, fiery red hair.01[22:17] The Hyuuga steps forward once he sees

Rai. "Rairaku-chan!"01[22:17] Rai! Intelligence check![22:17] 1d20+2[22:17] Hyuuga_Rairaku rolls 1d20+2 and gets = 1601[22:18] You recognize the man as HyuugaSanichi, your cousin and several years your senior.

01[22:20] * Hyuuga_Rairaku looks at sanichi silently andnods01[22:22] He looks disturbed by her lack ofgreeting and frowns. Resolution soon fills his eyeshowever, before he turns to the Kazekage. "Now that my

cousin has arrived, we will be leaving."01[22:22] * ~ShadowDM :Isoda -> "Don't be to sure..." shemutters.01[22:22] Sanichi looks confused.[22:23] "Im staying."01[22:23] Sasori ignores the entourage, insteadstepping forward to address the Kazekage directly, "Withyour leave, I will go to speak with the Karama clan and beback for debriefing shortly, Kazekage..." He bows.01[22:24] The Kazekage rubs his chin, but nods.01[22:24] Sasori disappears out the door andinto the night.01[22:24] * Tanshin_Yori does not envision this endingwell. He watches the Kazekage carefully.[22:24] "Sensei, please extend our deepestregrets to them."[22:24] Jun drops to one knee "may I accompanyhim, kazekage sama?"[22:25] Is terrified of being destroyed wherehe stands01[22:25] * ~ShadowDM :Kazekage -> "You may, Hideki."01[22:25] He then turns to the young girl."Hyuuga Rairaku. What do you mean by this?" He looks atIsoda questioningly.[22:26] Bows and professionally followsSasori.01[22:26] Isoda, for her part, just shakes herhead, "Their stories check out... and she apparentlydoesn't want to return to Konoha..."01[22:26] * Hyuuga_Rairaku nods[22:27] "01[22:27] Sanichi looks like a strange crossbetween bewildered and crushed. His companions remain arespectable distance away from him and avert their eyes
