Year of Prayer Holy Hour for Discernment
FAITH AND FITNESS – HAVE YOU TRIED IT? Have you been putting your fitness on the back burner? Why put off feeling great? Join us on Wednesdays at 11:45 AM, downstairs in the Social Hall for an innovative class that integrates standing and seated stretching and strengthening movements with prayer. Plan to leave feeling calmer, stronger and refreshed! All exercise is performed standing next to or sitting on a chair. Please dress in casual, comfortable clothing and shoes. Classes are taught by St. Anthony’s parishioner, Deb Kuntz, a certified fitness instructor who has been teaching SilverSneaker classes for over 10 years. *There is no charge for the class. Instead a free will offering will benefit our St. Vincent de Paul Conference and the work they do for our friends in need. MARK YOUR CALENDARS! There will be a Training meeting for all Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion on Sunday, January 26, from 4:00-5:00 PM. All EMHC’s should plan to attend! MARDI GRAS TALENT SHOW On Tuesday, February 25, at 7:00 PM, we will have a parish celebration for Mardi Gras. All are invited to attend! The Knights of Columbus will serve pancakes and there will be a pancake topping buffet of most everything you could imagine putting on a pancake. There will also be a talent show! All parishioners are invited to participate. Your talent could be anything – music, singing, magic tricks, poetry, comedy, whatever your talent is! Mark your calendars now for a fun night for the whole family! There will be a free will offering for the night. If you have a talent, please contact Melissa through the Parish Office. HELP NEEDED AT FRIDAY BETHANY HOMES MASS Please prayerfully consider giving of your time, perhaps even just committing to a month or two at a time to helping with the weekly Friday Mass at Bethany Homes (201 University Dr S). We could really use help to transport the residents to and from their rooms to the chapel, as well as to assist in the setup for Mass. The time commitment would be from 9:30-11:30 AM. Contact Deacon Stu through the Parish Office for additional details or to offer your help! THE CATHOLIC FAITH. ON DEMAND. When it’s cold outside and you’re staying in but want to watch something good on TV, check out Formed.org! It’s like Netflix-only specifically Catholic! Use our parish code, H6D6VP to log in at Formed.org, setup your own account and start watching and learning more about your faith. Plus, the best part is...it’s free for you to use!

Finding the time to address our struggles is often lost by the business of life. How do we overcome these obstacles, and hear God’s voice in our lives? Through prayer, reflection, guidance and the aid of the Holy Spirit, we will begin to engage these difficulties in a positive way as we continue toward our goal of union with Christ. Join us for Walking Toward Eternity: Engaging the Struggles of Your Heart at St. Anthony’s, beginning February 10 at 7:00 PM and continuing every Monday through March 30. STEWARDSHIP MOMENT And a voice came from the heavens, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” M 3:17 Two thoughts come to mind when reading this. First, God, Our Father, is so generous, that he gave his only son, whom he really loves, to us so that we can have eternal life with him in heaven. God, Our Creator, really loves us, too! Second, Jesus was obedient to his Father’s will, even to the point of death. This is a reminder that our own lives are pure gifts from God!
