THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST

If you would like to sponsor flowers on the altar in memory of loved ones, living or deceased, please print your name, phone number, and the occasion or loved one you wish to remember on a purple Flower Contribution

envelope, which you will find in the church vestibule. Minimum contribution for two vases on the main altar is between $90—100. Please drop off your envelope in the collection basket, or call the parish office, 301-229-7933, and your request will be posted in the weekly bulletin. We can only honor one individual request per weekend, so please bear in mind that, sometimes, the date you require may already be taken. Also, for your information, we will not be able to accept requests for the sponsoring of flowers on specific liturgical dates.

St. Bart’s needs your help for Digital Arts Ministry during the Mass. Get more involved in our parish by assisting with the slides projected on the screens at each Mass. We need additional volunteers to help. It is not difficult and training is provided. We especially need assistance at the 5 PM Saturday and 12 noon Sunday masses. Contact John Martino to volunteer or for more information. [email protected] 301-717-8849. St. Bart’s Church Guild also needs your help - the Church Guild volunteers work in a very reserved and invisible way. However, the results are very visible! The volunteers replenish the holy water dishes, launder and mend altar server robes, arrange altar flowers, dust pews and sills, align missalettes, polish candle holders, vacuum floor and carpets, and clean and organize the vestibule and bulletin boards. These tasks are routinely performed by two or three adults but we would like to have more volunteers join the Guild in the hope that we can create teams of people so that the tasks can be shared by many instead of a few. Please be generous with your time and talents and email Maria El-Khouri at [email protected]. St. Bart's Middle School Youth Group: we are 6th, 7th and 8th graders interested in serving our neighbor, playing together and getting to know Our Lord Jesus Christ! All are welcome! If you would like to learn more please email: John & Maria Archer, [email protected]. Upcoming Events: 6/25: Hiking at CO Canal, 4:30- 6:30pm. We will meet in the courtyard across from the parish hall. Please RSVP by Friday, June 23, so transportation can be coordinated. 7/9: Movie Outing 7/23: Canoeing Trip 7/30: Water Balloon War

We will not be having our usual Sunday donuts and coffee get-together next Sunday, June 25, because we will be holding a reception for John Class after his Mass of Thanksgiving at the 10.00 a.m. Mass.
