Prayer Before Mass Come, Holy Spirit, quiet my heart and my head, as I gather with my

family, friends and neighbors to celebrate Mass. Quiet the thoughts and distractions that will keep me from worship. Open my mouth in prayer

and song. Open my ears to hear God’s word. Open my eyes to the mystery of the Eucharist. Open my heart to receive Jesus with love. May I go forth strengthened to take the Mass into my life this week. In a special

way, we pray for our twinning parish, St. Mary’s in Uxbridge. Amen.

strength and courage to be a model of discipleship, just as Joseph was.

Traveling Holy Hour for Vocations Join us for the traveling holy hour for vocations

on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 7 pm at St. Luke Church in Westboro. All are welcome to attend and pray for vocations

to priesthood and religious life in our diocese.

Vianney Dinner The next Vianney dinner is Thursday, Jan. 16 at the Holy Name of Jesus House of Studies. Please note the schedule

change! These are nights for men, high school aged and up, interested in learning more about a priestly vocation. They are welcome to come to all or part of the evening as their schedule allows. 6:05 PM Mass, 6:30 dinner, and 7 PM

social. An RSVP is not needed but it is helpful in getting an accurate count for food.

Financial Peace University at St. Mary Parish St. Mary Parish, Uxbridge is offering the nine-lesson

Christian based Financial Peace University (FPU) course on Fridays beginning Jan. 17 at 6:30 pm. This is the proven plan to help you keep a budget, beat debt, and build wealth.

Join us at Blessed Sacrament Church 551 Pleasant St., Worcester for an Ecumenical Celebration of the Word of

God during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity on Sunday Jan.19 at 2 pm. "They showed us unusual

kindness" (Acts 28:2)

Festival of Lessons and Carols in Clinton The Sacred Music Series at St. John Guardian of Our Lady in Clinton continues with a special Festival of Lessons and

Carols on Saturday, Jan.11 at 7 p.m. Based on the Office of Matins for the Feast of the Epiphany, this festive ceremony will feature Scripture readings, the singing of beloved Christmas and Epiphany carols, and sacred choral music led by the

Upper School Chorus of the Immaculate Heart of Mary School, Still River, under the direction of Michael Olbash. Freewill donations will be accepted at the door for the benefit of First Concern Pregnancy Resource Center of

Clinton. This event was a resounding success last year -- help us make it even bigger and better this year! Located at 80 Union St. in Clinton and the church is ramp accessible.
