A Message from Fr. Fitz… Confirmation/First Holy Communion/RCIA...As many of you know, our schedule this past spring for the celebration of Confirmation and First Holy Communion got upended by the pandemic. We have been able to reschedule the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation. It will take place on Tuesday, September 22 at 6:30 pm. All Confirmation students have been notified. If for some reason you did not get a notice, please call the rectory office. The date for First Holy Communion has not yet been scheduled, but will be scheduled in the near future. It will probably be held during a weekend in October. We will keep you informed. Additionally since the receipt of sacraments for the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults could not take place at the Easter Vigil this year, it will take place on Saturday, September 26, at 1:00 pm.

As has happened over the past several weeks since our reopening, last weekend’s Masses went very well. We had 419 people who came to the Masses and our volunteers, as in previous weekends, were very helpful in coordinating the various safety requirements. We are also grateful for the prayerful and financial support of parishioners who have not yet been able to attend Mass. As we move into the next phases of reopening, you will be informed of any changes to our procedures. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We are in need of volunteers to help direct parishioners at Mass and to help clean the church after each Mass. We are also in need of more lectors for all the Masses (lectors and volunteers must be 18 years of age or older). If you can help, contact Fr. Chris at the rectory or [email protected] _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Masks or other face coverings must be worn at all times when in the church except when placing the host in your mouth after receiving it in your hands. Please be sure you step over to the places marked on the floor before removing your mask. We must work together to keep each other safe and healthy. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Please remember the St. Vincent de Paul box located at the exit door by the elevator in the upper church. Thank you for your generosity. We are still not holding meetings but hope to resume when it is safe to do so. We are still doing some of our basic work through proper safety measures. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
