I had contacted Ben Franklin School and talked to the social worker, Michelle Olson, about any families that might need a little help for the holidays. Michelle gave us ages of 5 children from two families with things that were suggested for them. One family was a single mother with 3 children that had their house in foreclosure. The other was Grandparents that were taking care of 2 children. Our congregation was very generous in picking off the tags and buying the suggested items. Outreach - Giving Tree “A Christmas Tree was set up in the Narthex of the church waiting for a needy family. I had

contacted Ben Franklin School and talked to the social worker, Michelle Olson, about any families

that might need a little help for the holidays. Michelle gave us ages of 5 children from two families

with things that were suggested for them.

One family was a single mother with 3 children that had their house in foreclosure. The other was

Grandparents that were taking care of 2 children.

Our congregation was very generous in picking off the tags and buying the suggested items.

Outreach Committee Report for 2014

This past year we sent out checks to the following worthy projects:

The Yellow Box yielded 1500 pounds of clothing that went to Red Door, Waukesha Men' Center, Hope

Women's Center and Trinity Clothes Closet. Ron Johnson was taking care of this and has now handed over

the reins to Steve Kupcho.

Again we help sponsor 2 children in Haiti. One boy, Billy Erneus, and one girl, Samenta Voltaire.

We started a partnership with St. Albans Church to help work at the Community Dinners that are at St. James

Church. Various churches take turns cooking, setting up and cleaning up. The dinners are held once a month

for those who want to come. It is a free will dinner. We worked 5 times with St. Albans. Thanks to the

Polley's, Kupcho's and Jud for their help.

We continue to help work at the Food Pantry. This is much appreciated by the staff and the recipients' of the

pantry. Thanks to everyone that volunteered for the pantry. Ron's grandchildren (Eli, Amira & Sunny) helped

man the Hot Dog Stand at Piggly Wiggly one Sat. for the Food Pantry.

In Sept. we took a collection of school supplies for the Auer Elementary School. One of the teachers, Charles

Newman, expressed the need of these items. Thank you to those who brought supplies.

Again we had a Giving Tree for a needy families that we a huge success again. Report under separate cover.

We will continue to support the Singing Rooster Coffee endeavor to help Haiti.
