This second edion has a special focus on the visit to St Georges by staff and students from our partner schools in March 2020. Mr Cooper is presented with giſts for the school by our guests.

Welcome to the second edition of our Erasmus+ project newsletter —Sportify - ’Sport for All, With All’ The project is focussed on developing the concept of ‘Inclusivity’ through participation in Unified and Inclusive sports events with students from our partner schools, NMS Engelsdorf in Graz, Austria and the Agios Spyridonas Special School in Larnaca, Cyprus. This project is from 2019-2021 and is an opportunity for all students in the school to participate in Inclusive sports events, here in Luxembourg and also in Austria and Cyprus. This second edition has a special focus on the visit to St George’s by staff and students from our partner schools in March 2020. Mr Cooper is presented with gifts for the school by our guests.

Teacher’s and Students Mobility Visit

Luxembourg, March 2020

St George’s welcomed the Erasmus + project coordinator, Sabine Fröschl, from NMS En-gelsdorf in Graz, along with two of her colleagues and four students and also two col-leagues and four students from Agios Spyridonas Special School in Larnaca. During the school visit there was a ballroom dancing ‘Getting to Know You’ activity with students from St George’s followed by a tour of the school led by members of student parliament.

Ten Pin Bowling

Staff and students had an enjoyable evening at the ten pin bowling area at the Kockelscheuer.

Luxembourg City tour

Four members of the student parliament (Oliver, Daria, Leonie and Josephine) took the guests on a short tour of Luxembourg city explaining the history and significance of the Cathedral, the Ducal Palace and the Casemates to name but a few.

Touch Rugby

Future Plans

September 2020—visit to Cyprus

November 2020 —Unified Basketball and Floorball tournament in Graz

Led by coaches from Luxembourg Touch, several of whom are St George’s parents,

students from the three schools had an enjoyable, but cold and wet, morning of

Touch Rugby at Cessange. This was a new inclusive sport for our guests but they

quickly learnt the game and had a great time.
