St Luke’s Feast Day — Sunday 22nd October
We are celebrating the feast of St Luke our patron saint next Sunday 22nd October at 9.30am Mass. During this Mass the new statue of St Luke will be unveiled and blessed. Morning tea w ill follow after Mass . Please bring a plate if you can and jo in in celebrating this great day. You are also all invited to the blessing of the new parish offices on Saturday 21st October, after
the 6pm Mass. Please join us for a glass of w ine and nibbles after this.
B.J. Hickey Biblical Foundation Scholarships: Applications are now invited for scholarships from the B.J. Hickey Biblical Foundation. The scholarships are for biblical studies of any length at any level, locally or overseas (such as Jerusalem or Rome). You don’t need to be an academic – just someone with a desire to know the Scriptures better and to help others with that knowledge. Applications close on Friday, 24 November 2017. FAMILY MASS
Our next Family Mass is on Sunday 29th October at 9.30am. The children of the parish are invited to participate in the Mass by reading, carrying offertory gifts, choir etc. It would be great to see as many families as possible to participate and attend. If you would like to read at Mass please contact Raquel via email [email protected]. Choir practice for musicians and choir is on Saturday 28th at 2.00pm. Morning Tea will be provided
after the Mass. It would be much appreciated if you were able to bring a plate. Thank You!
St Luke’s Ministry of Care Meeting on Thursday 19th October—New Members Welcome!
The next Ministry of Care meeting is on Thursday, 19th October at 9.30am at the Presbytery. St Luke's Ministry of Care Group is a group of volunteers, who visit the elderly and the lonely of the parish, either in their homes or in the nursing homes. Please come along if you are interested in joining or wanting to hear more about it.
