In October the Knights will lead the rosary before the weekday masses. (25 minutes before mass) if there is not a weekday mass the
rosary will be prayed at 1:00pm.

If you have not registered your child please drop by the office as soon as possible. Registration fees will remain the same at $10/child or $20/family. Confirmation registration fee is $25/child. This year our parish will be implementing the new faith formation program Be My Disciples. (bemydisciples.com) In addition to registration fees, the individual workbooks must be purchased for a cost of $20.00 each per child. These workbooks are modern, colorful and engaging. Gatherings will begin on Sunday, October 19 & Monday, October 20. Urgently needed one adult for year 5 and one for year 8. If you are interested please come forward as soon as possible.

Bravura in Concert The fundraising concert featuring Bravura takes places Sunday, Nov 2 at James M. Hill theatre. The performance starts at 7pm and doors open at 6pm. Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 per per-son at the door. Tickets are available at the St. Michael’s parish office, Brookdale Flower Shop on 488 King George Highway in Newcastle, Seasons View Café on 1729 Water St. in Chatham, both Chatham and Newcastle Farmer’s Markets and from committee members. Come and experience the beautiful music of Bravura and help support the St. Michael’s Capital Fundraising Campaign.
Offertory Procession—The Parish Pastoral Committee would like to have families involved in the offertory procession during the 10:30 am Mass on Sundays. Needed are 50 families. If you are interested, please call the office.
Cwl dues for 2015 are now being collected and can be put in an envelope marked “CWL Dues” and put in with the collection.

St. Michael’s choir practices are Tuesday at 7pm in the church. New members are welcome. Ability to read music is not required. Come join our family.

Regional News Mark October 28th 2014 on your Calendar! Knights of
Columbus of District #6 Councils, (1219 Chatham, 4886 New-
castle, 8381 Nelson, 7481 Renous, and 6404 Doaktown) , are
inviting ALL Roman Catholic families to a pre- “All Hallows
Evening” (Halloween) celebration, supported by the Santa
Maria Society. The party will be held at the 67 King Street
(Chatham) location of the Knights of Columbus. Doors open at
5:30 PM. Free Admission. The evening’s activity will begin at
6:00PM with fun games and a costume contest for kids. Adults
are also encouraged to attend in a costume. The main focus
will be on the children and their costume interpretations.
There will be Food, Candy for the Children, and fun for all.
Come and enjoy an evening with your family with the Knight’s
of Columbus and Santa Maria Society. The Knights of Columbus
will have a Field Agent to provide a brief overview into the
Knights of Columbus and the benefits it provides to the family.
