What if the Unthinkable Happens?

If you are a victim of sexual misconduct by a person ministering on behalf of the Church, or if you know of anyone who has been a victim of such misconduct, please contact the archdiocesan victim assistance coordinator. There are two ways to make a report:

1. Ethics Point Confidential, online reporting. www.archdioceseofindianapolis.etchicspoint.com or 888-393-6810

2. Carla Hill, Archdiocese of Indianapolis Victim Assistance Coordinator, P.O. Box 1410, Indianap-olis IN 46206 [email protected].

Did you know? Indiana law requires that any individ-ual who has reason to believe that a child is a victim of abuse or neglect must report immediately to the local Child Protection Services agency (800-800-5556) or a local law enforcement agency. Under Indiana law, it is a criminal act not to make such a report. This law applies to all adults without exception.

Lenten Food Drive

Forgot to shop for the food drive?

No worries! Monetary donations are needed and much appreciated by the food pantries. And a little goes a long way - they are able to buy 10 pounds of food with just ONE dollar! Thanks to the generosity of a parishioner, monetary donations will be matched up to $1,000. Please place labeled donations in the regular collection basket, or drop off in the office.

Food Drive Sack and Sort A great volunteer opportunity for the whole family! Please join us on Monday, April 22 at 6:30pm, down-stairs in Higgins Hall.

We'll repack the food drive donations for distribution to Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, Area 10 Agency on Aging, and the FUMC Wednesday Pantry.

Hope to see you there!

New Address for Jerusha

As many of you know, when our parish-ioner Cynthia Kanko passed away last October, there were concerns about her daughter, Jerusha’s, immigration status (both mother and daughter were born in Ghana).

In order to remain in the U.S., which was Cynthia and Jerusha’s wish, Jerusha had to leave quite suddenly over Christ-mas to live with her uncle in Tacoma Washington and establish residency there.

Jerusha misses us dearly, and it was difficult for her to leave without having a chance to say goodbye.

Listed below is Jerusha’s new address in Washington. She would love to hear from her St. Paul family. Jerusha Acheampong 2112 S. 90th Street Apt. 138 Tacoma WA 98444

A Prayer for Healing Victims/Survivors of Abuse

God of endless love, ever caring, ever strong,

always present, always just: You gave your only Son to save us

by his Blood on the Cross. Gentle Jesus, shepherd of peace,

join to your own suffering the pain of all who have been hurt in body, mind, and spirit

by those who betrayed the trust placed in them.

Hear the cries of our brothers and sisters who have been gravely harmed, and the cries of those who love them.

Soothe their restless hearts with hope, steady their shaken spirits with faith.

Grant them justice for their cause, enlightened by your truth.

Holy Spirit, comforter of hearts, heal your people’s wounds and

transform brokenness into wholeness. Grant us the courage and

wisdom, humility and grace, to act with justice. Breathe wisdom into our prayers and labors. Grant that all harmed

by abuse may find peace in justice. We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

Amen.
