Don Antonio's Dispatch…

I hope you are all having a good Lent. This Friday, Bishop Boyea has asked us to celebrate “24 Hours for the Lord,” an initiative that Pope Francis started to encourage people to adore the Blessed Sacrament and celebrate the Sacrament of Penance. We are moving our usual third Friday adoration to the second Friday (9 March) to accommodate this celebration. I will also extend our usual time for the Sacrament of Penance (confession/reconciliation) to 2-4 p.m. (rather than our usual time of 3-4 p.m.). I also want to remind you that we will have confessions available on Tuesday, 20 March from 3-7 p.m. with different priests from the area. We also have adoration on Fridays from 7-8 a.m. that anyone can join us to have some silent prayer. Next Weekend (10/11 March) we Spring Ahead for Daylight Savings Time. Make sure you set your clock on Saturday, 10 March in the evening, so you come to Mass at the correct time.

ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC SCHOOL

FAITH MOVING FORWARD Website: www.spxparish.com

Enrollment for the 2018 is in full swing! There is so much that families and parishioners can continue to do to help our school grow in faith, enrollment, and financial viability. Here is a quick list of what you can do to help: 1. Buy Super Draw tickets for $20 per ticket. Grand prize is $5,000! Tickets are on sale in the school office now. 2. Families need to help sell their entire pack of 10 Super Draw tickets. 3. Find us a sponsor for our auction. We have a few $500 sponsorships left. Sponsorship includes two dinner tickets to the auction on April 28th plus continual advertising throughout the night. 4. Talk to people about our school. Dinner tickets are $20 if purchased before April 13th. After that date tickets are $25. Together, and with Christ as our focus, we will do great things. Thank you to all who help our mission. Keep the Faith (1 Timothy 6:12) R.J. Kaplan Principal
