THE MOST HOLY TRINITY
June 15, 2014
God so loved the world that he
gave his only Son. — John 3:16a
LIFE IN THE TRINITY The name of the Trinity is, without a doubt, the most fa-
miliar sacred name to us. We speak it every time we make
the sign of the cross, and it forms the heart of our Creed.
Trinity Sunday is a good day, however, stop and reflect on
the unique role of each of the three persons we name so
often in the Trinity and in our own lives. When we cele-
brate the Eucharist on Sunday, we come together as the
Body of Christ through our baptism, and through the
power of the Holy Spirit we offer the whole prayer of the
Mass to God the Father. This presence of the Trinity does
not stop when we leave church on Sunday. We are—
always and everywhere—members of the Body, and every
thing we do as members of that Body is empowered by
the Holy Spirit, all of it offered to the glory of our loving
Father. Take a moment each day this week to reflect on
how the persons of the Trinity were present to you during
the day, and how other people came to see the presence of
the to Trinity in your witness to the Good News. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
PLEASE PRAY FOR the repose of the soul of William
Cox. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful de-
parted rest in the peace and joy of the Lord.

parishioners, see the current state of our parish and to
determine how you want our parish family to develop
over the next few years. Thank you to all those who
have completed and returned their surveys. If you have
not returned your survey, time is running out. Please
complete it this week and return it to the parish office in
the envelope that was provided or drop it in the offer-
tory basket. If you did not receive a survey, please call

one for you immediately. Thank you for your time, par-
ticipation and feedback.

Serve,‖ emphasizing the link between religious liberty and
service to the poor and vulnerable. ―During the Fortnight,
our liturgical calendar celebrates great martyrs who
remained faithful in the face of persecution by political
power—St. John Fisher and St. Thomas More, John the
Baptist, Peter and Paul and the first martyrs of the Church
of Rome,‖ said Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore,
chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty
of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).
―This is a time when Catholics can unite themselves in
prayer to the men and women throughout history who
spread the Gospel and lived out Jesus‘ call to serve the
‗least of these‘ in even the direst of circumstances.‖ Two
nationally televised Masses will bookend the Fortnight.
