The 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army is currently paying an average of 1.2 Million Pesos worth of monthly bills for its power consumptions, these includes post and tenant units inside camp. One among its tenant units is the Combat Arms School, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army.   The Combat Arms School, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army is catering a large number of students every training cycle both from the Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers of the basic and advance courses of the Field Artillery and Infantry. The demand of electricity is becoming one of the major concerns that needs to be addressed.

PROBLEM FACTS DISCUSSION

CONCLUSION

RECOMMENDATION CLOSING

•Enough supply of electricity is very important at CAS, TRADOC PA in its daily operations

•If the power source facilities is already aged or depreciated, there will definitely be the occurrence of power fluctuation which will cause damage of the IT equipment, lights, and appliances of the school.

PROBLEM FACTS DISCUSSION

CONCLUSION

RECOMMENDATION CLOSING

•Every training cycle at Combat Arms School, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army, had a high

demand of electricity being catered by the school because of the large number of students

•The supply of electricity is not enough to cater to all these needs, that is why there is a need for the school to address this major concern to be able to accomplish

its daily operations and activities.

PROBLEM ASSUMPTIONS

DISCUSSIONS

CONCLUSION

RECOMMENDATION CLOSING

•the school is having a power shortage and a high cost of monthly electric bill that can be attributed to the high demand of electricity every training cycle, because of the high number of students being catered by the school.

•there is a low supply of electricity because of the aged power source facilities.

PROBLEM ASSUMPTIONS

DISCUSSIONS

CONCLUSION

RECOMMENDATION CLOSING

•The current situation at Combat Arms School, Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army resulted to regular black out that hampers or affects its daily operations and activities

•This will also cause damage of IT equipment, lights, and appliances of the school which will lead to lower productivity or office output.

ONRECOMENDATIO

N CLOSINGDISCUSSION

•The 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division, Philippine Army is currently paying an average of 1.2 Million Pesos worth of monthly bills

•CAS needs to generate an average of Eight Thousand (8,000) Kilowatt Hours (KWH) monthly or equivalent to Two Hundred Fifty Eight (258) Kilowatt Hours (KWH) daily amount of electricity in order to accomplish its mission essential activities

PROBLEM ANALYSIS

Page 12: STAFF STUDY.ppt

PROBLEM ASSUMPTIONS FACTS CONCLUSI

ONRECOMENDATIO

N CLOSINGDISCUSSION

•At present, the average daily energy consumption is Four Hundred Seventy Two (472) Kilowatt Hours (KWH) wherein we can see a difference of Two Hundred Fourteen (214) KWH per day.

•There are times that lines provided by Nueva Ecija Electric Cooperative, Incorporated – Area 2 were disrupted by destructive natural calamities and other interruptions due to falling trees and explosions of aged transformers and wires.

N CLOSINGDISCUSSION

•On the other hand, viewing it in a wider spectrum, the supply of electricity nationwide is becoming insufficient due to the increasing market demands that resulted to a higher cost

•Most of our country’s energy comes from fossil fuels, which pollute the environment in all phases of our lifecycle, from resource recovery to refinement processes to our final consumption as fuel.

PROBLEM ASSUMPTIONS FACTS CONCLUSI

ONRECOMENDATIO

N CLOSINGDISCUSSION

•With the above stated considerations, there is a need to come-up to a more sustainable source of energy which is eco-friendly, not harmful to lifecycle, less expensive and yet it can provide a sustainable and efficient electricity.
