    With ethical and environmental concerns increasingly influencing purchasing

    decisions, it makes sense to develop a sustainability strategy for your business.

    Whitehorse City Councils Stand Out!Program will help you strengthen yourbusiness by incorporating no-fuss sustainable practices into what you do.

    Available to 10 local businesses for just $500 + GST.

    Valued at $2000, funding from the Victorian Governments Grow Your

    Business Group Programinitiative will subsidise the remaining $1500.

    Each business will participate in five workshops and receive two private

    consultations with the program provider Green Lining.

    Win new customers, shrink your footprint and do

    the right thing by becoming a sustainable business.

    Obtain formal recognition as a leader in responsible business

    Gain or retain sales to government and big business

    Align your values with those of your customers and staff

    Maximise your profits without shifting focus from your core activities

    Become more efficient by optimising resource and energy use

    Do the right thing by the environment and the community.

    About the Program Provider

    Justin Leeis the founding principal ofGreen Lining, a professional consultancyfocusing on business efficiency, sustainable

    growth strategy and green business

    certification. Justin synthesises his broad

    academic, corporate and small to medium

    enterprise (SME) background with his passion

    for connecting commercial imperatives toenvironmentally and socially sound outcomes.

    He is particularly focused on helping SMEs

    who are resource and time-poor relative to

    the large corporates in their

    respective sectors.

    Justin is a passionate sustainable business

    advocate and greentrepreneur. For more

    than 15 years he has worked across the

    corporate, SME and government sectors.

    With much of this experience in finance andcommercial banking, Justin understands the

    financial and commercial needs of a business

    owner and the challenges in incorporating

    these with environmentally

    sustainable outcomes.

    Conditions of Entry

    In order to be eligible for the program,

    businesses must:

    Be financially viable Be a tradeable service

    Be based in the City of Whitehorseor surrounding suburbs

    Have a commitment to exportor import replacement

    Show management strengths

    Demonstrate at least 12 monthstrading history

    Council will select 10 local businesses to

    participate in the program. Each business is

    able to send two representatives to each of

    the workshops. At least one representative

    will need to attend all five workshops.

    Participation Fee

    $500+ GST per business

    Victorian Government Grant: $1500 + GSTper business (covers balance of program costs)

    Workshop 2: 5 November 2014

    Workshop 3: 12 November 2014

    Workshop 4: 26 November 2014

    Workshop 5: 3 December 2014
